It's been a few days now since my election, and I'd like to update you all on the latest happenings. My government has been working to address the current situation and I'd like to start by thanking Wayne for his efforts in negotiations with the USA, and mittekemuis for negotiating with Ireland.
Agreements with Occupying Forces
USA, Colombia and Latvia
An agreement has been made for the withdrawal of Latvia, and this has taken effect. The arrangement allows for the liberation of London only and I am awaiting a response from Colombia to organise a training war with them to last beyond the forthcoming event. Neither the US or Colombia have an interest in keeping our country wiped though this will be the case if we do not cooperate. The occupation will continue through the event to allow for as much activity as possible.
I would advise against the opening of new RWs against either the US or Colombia without notification from Government, since you will more than likely be throwing your money away.
Ireland
We have negotiated the release of Scotland, and hope to continue negotiations for the release of Wales and Northern Ireland in the near future. There may be more news on the situation regarding Ireland soon, so keep your eyes peeled on the National Feed.
Days of Mayhem
Plato has decided to give us yet another wonderful event, and our experts have been analysing what it all means. Since the update news is typically vague in some points, we might not know exactly what's going on until the event has actually started so must be ready to react quickly. Keep an eye on the National Feed and Government news for updates.
Congress
I'd like to report that Congress has been thoroughly active in discussions about the situation, but (with the exception of Michael "Attack Helicopter" Ludgate), they haven't.

As for Congress, since most of us don't spend all night on IRC, we just read what you guys put out, and comment only if needed. It's a pleasant change not to have Congress threads full of spam.
Personally haven't been on IRC for months. Kinda forgotten about it. It's bad enough that Orion's on one third-party chat; most communication can be done with the meagre tools we have in game.
What is IRC?
no one nowadays uses IRC, some use Discord, but 99.9% of people in the eUK don't bother with it anymore.
Maybe the decline in IM use in our community correlates with it's in game decline?
