Congress elections are on the 25th, and, thanks to the enthusiastic support of our first party members, the United Citizens of eIreland should stand for election on the 25th. This manifesto is to express some of the goals our party has, once we attain seats in the Dail. Our goals will be attainable by game mechanics and within the purview of Dail members.
1) Lower all taxes to 1%
Yes, for some weird reason, weapons import taxes are still 5%. Why? I don’t know, but we will push for 1% taxes across the board.
A Healthy market means a healthy eIrish economy!
2) We will push for a standardized discussion/form for each citizenship application. There have been many citizenship apps accepted in recent months for people who swiftly leave eIreland. Instead, we want to help attract new citizens who will Stay and Contribute
3) Open Congressional Discussions We will propose that discussions in the Dail be summarized and published on a regular basis, so that all eIrish citizens know the goings-on of government.
4)We will push to change our NE from Armenia to another TW. This is the first step our party can do to eventually eliminate TW’s from our core regions

Closing the TW that has provided us with more epics or at least change the NE so our people have to do 10% extra damage for nothing? Yeah, sounds like a good plan hahah

Yeah, but it will be a waste having it somewhere else instead of in the battle with our prefered epic partner. That extra 10% means a lot of energy bars in the long run.
The reasons why Armenia is “our favorite epic partner” are probably quite simple
Armenia is a small eNation and we can coordinate effectively with them. I find it hard to believe that we can not find a similar partner in our other 17 TW’s!
Most countries already have their arrangements for epics and this one is working great for us. As you point, both countries being small has make wonders regarding coordination, so tbh, I don´t see what we win changing something that works.
If this is your manifesto, it should be upfront about your intention to open a real war with UK.

I’m not proposing a haphazardly executed war that will get us wipe
I’m proposing something for us to plan for, to look forward too, to have fun with!
1) You don't know why weapons taxes are 5%. Maybe you should find out the logic of it before wanting to change something instead of making a populist statement...
2) CS applications have been made free for all quite a while before the accusations against current Govt. Mckevitt would always accept when it was posted in congress asking not to. RTK also openly stated that he was always going to accept applications when he deemed fit.
As for applicants staying a short duration, we get 30 passes a month, no pass is wasted and nobody denied who would be a good candidate.
3) There is no congress thread and it is open to all citizens exception being WHS who the community voted to remove. Instead all citizens are welcome to join in discussion.
4) Why would you remove TWs from our cores. You know this is the number one defense we can have right?
Overall, nice to see you come out of inactivity but you have no idea of anything that has gone on, have openly said you are to be elected CP or you leave again.... your policies are just dated and silly.

Anyway, here are my responses:
1) I assume, considering the very slight profit margins in the game, that any tax above 1% means no foreign sellers on our markets. Is that what the gov wants? Why?
2) The only concern for immigration I have is that new citizens should want to stay in eIreland. I’m not sure some of them are applying with this in mind

4) what I would prefer is to have the TWs all shifted to the side away from our resources…
1) We have domestic sellers that offer products at competitive rates. When that changes, very open to reducing to 1% but until then, may as well protect those that seek to support our market.
2) what is the concern if they then leave, it costs us nothing?
3) you may yes. We just don't recreate it until after elections. Remaking it for each person that wants in would result in a few times repeating the task and also mix up messages/debates.
4) We don't have sufficient resources to be concerned about. Government has always under our current resource allocation advocated for citizens to put companies elsewhere.

while i like your enthusiasm and happy spirit, i must break down your congress/political manifesto in parts and to examine which ones are good ideas, and which ones are bad.

while im always in favour for less taxes, we need the weapons and import taxes to be at 5%.
considering the many gold bars that we can win through our multiple TW's and the supplies that we can get through our social wellfare programs, it would be insane to cripple our already low tax percentage for a ''stronger'' economy.
(our economy is ALREADY good)

thats a good idea!
although our current approval/decline process is fair, democratic and with proper voting on a case-by-case basis.
perhaps a few more tweaks could perfect our citizenship system, but so far its very good.
(its not our fault if travelling players leave after a while... mercenaries or bored players do that often.)

while i support this idea in general, i believe that a simple summary of the weekly/monthly events, laws and changes to our congress affairs, that would be posted in our national newspaper would work just as well.

no. thats wrong.
if this happened, it would damage our good TW with e-armenia, and it would make us to lose contact with our other beneficial partners too.
lastly, your plea for a ''real war'', instead of our agreed TW's, with you stating in new that ''real war is real fun'', it begs for the answer :
first of all, no its not, and secondly, a real war with any strong/moderate e-country would mean that e-ireland would get wiped.
and we dont want to be wiped.
even if we would fight with some weak e-nation, they would either have some strong allies, or they would be a member of a mega-alliance (such as CODE or asteria, and we would eventually get wiped by them, for breaking the peace and for attacking one of their allies/vassals.
so there you have it.
you have some wild ideas, some OK suggestions and some very dangerous ideas for e-ireland (such as real war and removing all TW's from our core regions).
think about it again, and try to do better next time.

5) first of all, real war IS fun. It’s exciting and the only reason this game should exist.
I’ve been CP 7 times, and I’ve experienced several real Wars. Some we lost and got wiped, others we won. In both instances there was a reason to play. If you seriously think just accumulating fake currency in a stupid game is fun, please think your choices again!
