[TCO] Saved by The Crimson Order: My Near Death Experience

Day 1,292, 13:42 Published in Canada Ireland by einberliner

This article is a repost of an article written by DashRiprock, who presently has citizenship in Ireland. It feels a little egotistical posting it, seeing as I get a mention, but as it's pretty heavily TCO it just had to go out in eCan too 😉 The orignal article is here, please leave your love there too.

There comes a time in every man or woman’s life when they must ask themselves, “What is my purpose?" Usually it happens after one finds success but is nonetheless left wanting.

And so it was with me, DashRiprock, just a few short weeks ago. Sure, Id been an important member of Congress (until Congress became unimportant), and yes, I was a well-respected and highly successful business magnate (until the Admin ruined the Business sector), and yes, I had friends in high places.
But as the eRep day grew long, I found myself bored. Bored with the endless political infighting in my home country of Ireland, frustrated with the lack of unity, spiritually empty from a lack of direction.

I slowly drifted away, flotsam on a sea of aimlessness. I lost my long-time employees, I no longer had my thumb on the pulse of the market, I stopped fighting, I didn’t care about working, I refrained from any involvement with the government and I communicated with only one or two trusted friends.
I asked myself, “What is my purpose”. And I received no answer. I felt my eLife slipping away.

And then one day came a knock on my door. I opened the door to find no one there. But in my mail was a box. And in that box was a Donut. And the Donut was good.

You may think that a Donut, in the grand scheme of things, would be unimportant. But this Donut was different. This Donut, with its Sprinkly Goodness, talked to me. It reminded me that life could still be sweet. It told me about a special place, and a special group of people where I could find Purpose.
It urged me to seek out the The Crimson Order.

Days and weeks have come and gone since I emerged from my eDepression and enlisted in the service of The Crimson Order. What I found when I arrived was a great collection of people, pulling together for a common purpose with enthusiasm and dedication and raw talent. I also found a home in the new Irish legions and was proud to stand beside such great Irish citizens, fighters, artists, and experts such as Einberliner, Moonbeam, CaladBolg, Eric Last, Edfluff, Shane10 and my great friend and muse, Nogin.

I have been reborn with new purpose, and YOU can too!

These days I jump out of bed to start my TCO duties, now as Captain of Legion X, TCO’s newest legion! The forums are abuzz, the IRC is jumping and there is plenty to do. If you have played and found your game wanting, if you are tired and need a hand, if you are a newer player looking to gain strength and knowledge, then do as I did, and seek out The Crimson Order. It may just save your life!

-The Crimson Canucks supplies all its soldiers three times a week with food and weapons automatically if you respond to a weekly roll call and work in a TCO company, there is no need for any soldier to go out of their way to request this supply. When there is a mission or important battle we also supply via IRC with additional food and weapons.

- The Crimson Canucks, and the TCO in general, welcome players of all strengths and our members comprise some of the strongest soldiers from Canada and Australia, as well as from Ireland and, increasingly, Sweden.

- All TCO members are treated equally and receive an equal share of the overall supply. Execs, far from getting extra supplies, often don't accept supply at all in order to increase the communal share or donate it to members in more need.
