[TCO] HUGE Giveaway - 100 Q5s top prize, chance at an RW medal, non-TCO welcome!

Day 1,337, 03:48 Published in Canada Ireland by einberliner

I've been teasing I had a mega giveaway coming and I was not lying. By answering ten googleable questions you could find yourself in possession of a weapons cache (top prize includes 100 Q5s just for you!), a food mountain or even a very shiny medal. Please read the rules carefully as every time, here in Can or over in Ireland as MoC, I ran anything someone did stuff backwards and I hate excluding people from events on the grounds they didn't *quite* get stuff right, particularly when a prize haul like this lot is at stake.

Please don't let not knowing all the answers stop you from entering. In past events like this I've found at most one or two people get everything right, and with the number of prizes available in this case that means some of the awards are likely to go people who got at least a couple wrong. Entry's free, you have nothing to lose.

Open to anyone from a non-enemy country, feel free to enter if you're not in TCO or even not Aussie/Canuck. Only the prize pools are a little different. I would advise subscribing to this paper as this won't be the last time I pull an epic giveaway (already planning one for August 😃) and I usually include something for non-TCOers.

Questions and comments welcome!

Available Prizes
Prizes available to members of TCO
1st Prize - 100 Q5 Weapons and 250 Q5 Food
2nd Prize - 75 Q5 Weapons and 250 Q5 Food
3rd Prize - 50 Q5 Weapons and 250 Q5 Food
4th Prize - 25 Q5 Weapons and 250 Q5 Food

Prizes available to non-members of TCO
2 x 25 Q5 Weapons and 100 Q1 Food

Special Bonus Prize (open to TCO and non-TCO)
The chance to win a Resistance War Medal.

Apparently great minds think alike because I've been selling all my excess stock on the Can and US markets the last couple of weeks to raise the money for this and the day I write this I see the Irish MoCs offer something similar lol.

I have 10k USD and 10k CAD, and you can win whichever one you like in order to start an RW with it and maybe bag yourself some bling.

There are conditions on this prize:
- The 10k is ONLY to be used to start a resistance war. If you're thinking of all the cool stuff you can buy with 10k this is not for you 😛
- You should heed the advice/instructions of the relevant CP (Blank for US or Sperry for Can) as to when and where to start the RW
- You can choose whether you want to start an RW in Canada or the US, the other 10k will be passed on to the CP of the relevant country to fund a seperate RW there.
- I can't guarentee an RW will win, nor can anyone else. Hopefully you get the medal but at least if it fails your shot at it was free.
- Only those without the medal can win this prize.

The Rules
1) Anyone can enter, providing they do not hold citizenship of an enemy country. Uk, Poland, Indo, Sweden etc. need not apply. Can, Aus, eIreland, US etc. are all welcome.
2) The prizes listed as for TCO only will only go to people who are TCO members as at the time of the final draw being made (i.e on Friday 22nd July 2011). The prize listed as available to non-members of TCO will not go to TCO members at all. The special bonus prize is available to people from either group.
3) You must choose which prize you're aiming for by stating it clearly when you enter. You can go for the weaps/food combo or the Special bonus. The special bonus is only open to people who do not currently have the Resistance medal. I will check, and if you've picked bonus and you have the medal I'll move you to the other group, you'll still be in with a chance of winning.
4) You can enter on someone else's behalf, if you're feeling benevolent, but you cannot enter more than once. If you wish the prizes to be give to someone else (or indeed a particular legion) on your behalf you need to say so clearly at the start of your entry message. i.e 'Hi, I'd like to go for the RW prize but if I win can you give it to [citizen name]'. You still need to choose which prize set you're going for. Please use the name of the citizen account, not their nickname, as (for example) if you say 'Moonie' I'm going to assume you mean Moonbeam, but among Canada and Aus and their allied countries I bet there's at least one more person with moon in their name lol.
5) All answers should be PM'd directly to einberliner's citizen account. Don't comment here as you'll be helping your competition.
6) There is no entry fee. While donations to TCO competitions are welcome the vast majority of our events are free to enter.
7) Entries should be with me before Thursday 21st July is over in eRep time. I can't guarentee you'll be entered if they arrive after that as I may have started processing.
😎 Winners will be chosen by draw. If one person alone gets all ten answers then they auto get the prize they're after. If two get ten it will be drawn between them etc. The next prize down will then be drawn among those with nine right answers, or eight etc. depending on how people do.
9) I reserve the right to give extra stuff away on a whim. I'm good at getting bargains and terrible at not sharing them 😛

The Questions

Google is your friend, here, and knowing our forum address may help with one of them. It's:
http://bruckscanucks.forumotion.ca/

1 ) What color, roughly speaking, does the hex code #DC143C give you?
2 ) The account of which TCO exec was created on erep on Dec 17, 2009?
3 ) For today's date: If it's 12 noon GMT what time is it in Dublin, Ireland? What time is it in Sofia, Bulgaria?
4 ) Which Canadian city is located at 60° 43' 0" N / 135° 3' 0" W?
5 ) TCO Hangman! Which Australian Landmark is this: _ L _ R _ ?
6 ) Which country's international dialling code is +63?
7 ) How many loyalty points does an energy bar cost?
8 ) How many permenant residents does the Saskatchewan community of Old Wives have?
9 ) If you take the literal translation of Erythrophobia what is it the fear of? (more than one answer to this, I'm willing to be generous)
10 ) If you add the number of official languages of Canada to those of Australia what is the total?

Good luck!

-The Crimson Canucks supplies all its soldiers three times a week with food and weapons automatically if you respond to a weekly roll call and work in a TCO company, there is no need for any soldier to go out of their way to request this supply. When there is a mission or important battle we also supply via IRC with additional food and weapons.

- The Crimson Canucks, and the TCO in general, welcome players of all strengths and our members comprise some of the strongest soldiers from Canada and Australia, as well as from Ireland and, increasingly, Bulgaria.

- All TCO members are treated equally and receive an equal share of the overall supply. Execs, far from getting extra supplies, often don't accept supply at all in order to increase the communal share or donate it to members in more need.

The Crimson Canucks is recruiting enthusiastic, active and dedicated players that wish to be something above the rest, something above even the best. We are a highly mobile fighting force that has spear-headed many conflicts around the globe. We bring to the battlefield a passion to see results and our enemies defeated.

When you join you will be welcomed and trained to be an elite fighting machine, it’ll take time but with dedication and perseverance your skill levels well increase and your damage output will be that much greater. Your brothers and sisters in the TCO will always be there when you need them.

The Crimson Canucks offers you a chance to enjoy this game more, to make a bigger difference not only on the battle field but in the eCanadian community, to make you known and respected as a warrior and as a patriot.
