{RSU} Give a man an inch, they take a mile

Day 3,098, 20:20 Published in Australia Thailand by Revolutionary Socialist Union

Greetings eAustralia,

I know the RSU printing press has been quiet lately, but that was a decision I had made, to ensure that the RSU would not be accused of effecting government. We all remember the "Treachery" article from the ADP CP JackTrout a while ago (even if it was eventually edited because of it baseless arguments and clear lies).

However due to the slack afforded to the government and some of it's ministers, the RSU printing presses has been fired up again, to address some pressing concerns that are going on.

Minister of Bribes?

First of all, many in the RSU were surprise by the announcement and support for a Congress member Stojke aka Legendary Viking Dragon who was appointed the ASIO head. This is even after he openly admitted that he let a 'friend' into the country for the sum of 9,500cc.

But shortly into this new term, after the current CP Gudz proposed him as the head of ASIO (he was the head last term, with Guag as his 2IC), he apparently went rogue introduce one law, changed his name, introduce a second law and then quit congress.

Has he given up on his life in eAustralia? has his account been hacked? has he sold his account or has a baby sitter? I am guessing none of it because he is from the APP, one of the parties who have always been on the forefront of multi hunting and shaming other parties.

And more importantly, how long has the account been rogue?

ASIO.... only when it suits

While we are on the subject of immigration, we all remember the ASIO agreement that was signed by some of the top 5 parties. Some refused to sign it due to believing it to be corrupt and 'stacked'. These parties were privately and publicly shamed, but they stood firm.

Now we see an author and a signatory to the ASIO agreement, clearly breaking the rules. This raises the point of the agreement all together. How is eAustralia meant to try an abide by an agreement, when players who created it and signed it, refuse to follow it when it suits their needs?

This whole point was something that was brought up by the RSU. when the discussions were held. But we were told ASIO works. Even with this re-assurance, the RSU. publicly refused to sign it, since we knew it could not be enforced and we knew certain parties will break it when it suits. These 'unwritten laws', these 'laws for some, but not others', need to be sorted out sooner then later.

The RSU fully supports immigration reform, we fully support checks and balances for immigration, but we also believe it should be done clearly and followed by those who agree with it. We hope the eAustralian government, either finds out why one of the signatories broke the agreement, or what can be done to have it amended. But until that time, the RSU. will still not support it and instead we will follow our own in-house immigration policy (and for the record, you cant buy CS, well the true members of the RSU. will not accept money for CS).

Vote buying?

While this might be a bit early, maybe it has been mis-understood due to the international aspect of this game, but a worrying trend is occurring in eAustralia. We already have the Australian Donation Democratic Party and we might be looking at having the Australian Paid Parliamentary Party soon.

Even if it is early, this is something that needs to be addressed and kept an eye on. Granted, each party is run for it's members, what they do is what they want, but when it comes to the point of congress seats and effecting the law proposals (see above for the laws made by a APP congress member for an example) it could lead to a government in disarray or a potential PTO of eAustralia.

Well that will be all for today, but as always, if you have any questions, please feel free to ask them. The RSU. printing presses are now fully oiled up and working, so expect more articles soon (if T.A.X.S.I.R.A. or any other PP lets me....).

Also the RSU will continue to try and work together with the current elected government. Even if there is congressional abuse of power, this is not RL Brazil, we will not be proposing an impeachment.
