Hey it's ahava3233 reporting. In any event I decided to do something because I'm somewhat bored of the status quo...I'm doing the most taboo thing ever; I'm running against Ardishabutaro, aka Son Goku, for Party President in the Shinsengumi this month.

Now Shabutaro, I love you and you're freaking HILARIOUS. You're also the most underrated political mastermind in this country, but it's time I take the reigns of Party President (you can have the MU), maybe. I dunno, I'm bored. Tomoyuki Yamashita says we're getting nowhere on the Political Front anyway, so ya better believe it. Things are getting boring; we need a refresh in the SSG. Win or lose, my candidacy will PP should keep things interesting, albeit ofc Megami-dono wouldn't mind winning, Shabu-dono.



Who were the Old World Shinsengumi?

My ideas go back to the IRL history of the Shinsengumi. IRL, the Shinsengumi were a Samurai Police Force that rebelled against the emperor during the final years of the Shogunate in the 19th century. They were originally misunderstood and had a bad reputation even within their home district of Mibu within Kyoto. However, the group eventually turned things around when they prevented Kyoto from being burnt to the ground in 1864.

In addition, the Shinsengumi were the first Samurai group from the era of the Tokuwaga Shogunate to break the rules of Japan's long-standing caste system. They were the first to allow people from non-Samurai castes to join their ranks!


What are New World Shinsengumi?



The New World Shinsengumi aren't really all that different from the old one. Politicians from several other parties in this game constantly ask me why I'm in the Shinsengumi. They tell me they find the Shinsengumi to be a good for nothing puppet party--well I'm here to tell you all that they're mistaken. SSG is probably the best kept and misunderstood secret of Japan. The party and MU form the basis of one of the longest standing open, efficient, and privately run communes in the country. Furthermore, unlike some other Parties/MUs, we do not discriminate on the basis of anything: race, national origin, gender, religion, sexual orientation, whatever it doesn't matter; just love Japan and we shall love you. There is no caste in the SSG, just love, support, and a common cause! 😃

Since my return right before Natsu's presidency, just as they had in RL, the Shinsengumi have on occasion taken the role of vigilantes. I can recall our actions during Geezus's presidency just a month ago, where through our determined efforts, we started an initiative that resulted in us taking down a board of directors and national organization program that we concluded would easily lead to corruption within the community. I want to build on this--I want to see the Shinsengumi become an open "Police Force" that will always be there to campaign for open and efficient practices in our eNation. I also want the Shinsengumi to continue fight against corruption, whatever the source. Under my guidance, we will work in the best interests of the entire nation, its people, and its future! We will be there.
