Introduction: (By Jimmy Cincinnati)
Hello, astoundingly handsome eAmericans; I'm deputy Secretary of the Department of Citizen's Affairs and I'll be explaining some of the game mechanics and Philosophies. I'll also be interviewing the people that are running our nation institutions. So, wish me luck.
Rainy Sunday is Secretary of Citizen Affairs. Fingerguns offered a deputy position. I recognize Rainy's tenacity and Fingergun's skill; as a dedicated leader and a tactful negotiator. I hope it will help assimilate some of the people that have felt disenfranchised. I appreciate the opportunity and I look forward to a rousing month.

Some eGovernment welfare programs:

SColbert's Worl😛 (By SColbert)
Congress is a group of generally 51 individuals elected from the top 5 political parties (The Federalists, United States Workers Party, Socialist Freedom Party, We The People, and The Black Sheep Party) in the eUS. While some parties may choose to run candidates from parties outside of the top 5 (E.G. American Military Party) you must be in a top 5 political party to run for congress.

This is done by selecting the button on your party's page to run for congress. Most parties will have primaries, or some sort of process of choosing which one of their candidates get a top position in their line up of candidates. In order to find out what that process is you should contact the Party President of your party. They are generally more than happy to help new players figure out the traditions and intricacies of their party's rules, and congress'.

If you are so lucky to be elected to Congress then you must also sign up for the eUS forum to participate in the debates, and discussions facing the country. You will be asked to sign in in a thread on the Legislative branch's section on the forum. From there you will be given access to both public and private congress pages.

Most business takes place in public congress. This is generally budget discussions, voting on the Speaker of the House who moderates the congress threads, domestic affairs concerning the various departments of the executive branch, taxes, and dealing with the internal affairs of Congress.

Private Congress generally deals with foreign affairs, or topics that are sensitive and relate to our national security. This means talks about spending on defense, and our various military interests.

There is also the Select Committee on Intelligence that deals with emergency funding requests related to defense. This is staffed by congress people appointed by the President and the Speaker of the House.
