Beste burgers van eNederland,

Ik had aan het begin van mijn termijn, een aantal doelen gesteld, waaronder het afronden van een aantal langdurige trajecten. Met alles zijn op z'n minst goede stappen gemaakt, sommigen niet zo ver als ik van te voren had gehoopt.

De termijn zijn we, ondanks de bezetting, feestelijk begonnen, met een IRC event voor mijn verjaardag (http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-cp-birthday-party-this-sunday-be-there--2032184/1/20) en het uitreiken van de Eresabel aan epix (http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-cp-eresabel-honorary-sabre-2032290/1/20).

Daarna werden we snel onderdeel van een spelletje. Hongarije had het op onze zuidelijke regio voorzien. Dit heeft de gemoederen tussen Nederland en België weer op scherp gezet. (http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-cp-how-neutral-is-ebelgium-amp-the-battles-for-southern-nl-2034050/1/20) Ook dat twee keer een deel van het Belgische Congres, ons als Natural Enemy wilde verklaren, maakt niet veel goed (http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-cp-about-the-ne-belgium-declared-us-2048515/1/20 & http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-cp-hoe-ze-van-ons-houden-how-they-love-us--2049838/1/20). De tijd zal het leren, hoe de verhoudingen tussen Nederland en België zullen verbeteren of verslechteren.

De Hongaren hebben we inmiddels kunnen verjagen uit onze regio's, waardoor we weer eigen grondgebied hebben, Het is niet veel, maar het begin is er! De helden uit deze battles zijn inmiddels geëerd via artikels (http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-cp-o7-to-the-heroes--2040457/1/20 &

Ook over de Military Council is er een knoop doorgehakt. We hebben besloten te stoppen met het project (http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-cp-the-army-and-the-military-council-2041401/1/20) en daarna is het Ministerie van Defensie, druk aan de gang gegaan om een structuur te bouwen om het Ministerie en de Commanders van de Military Units heen. Hier zijn al mooie stappen gezet!
Naast een Supply programma voor Jonge Soldaten (http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/boost-a-rookie-military-month--2033752/1/20), hebben we ook een Dagelijk Supply Programma voor de Officiële Military Units van de regering (http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-dutch-armed-forces-join-today--2051700/1/20) en samen met de Military Unit Alpha Unit, wordt nu een Pilot doorlopen, waar gecoördineerd door Minister van Defensie en Commander van Alpha Unit, een aanval wordt uitgevoerd.

Op de valreep, hebben we een uitnodiging ontvangen van EDEN, om Full Member te worden (http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-cp-about-enl-in-eden-part-ii-2052153/1/20). Dit is na maanden lang hard werken, een zeer mooie uitkomst. De inzet van Nederland, wordt zeer gewaardeerd in EDEN. Nadat het Congres over het verdrag had gestemd, heb ik bij EDEN het verdrag mogen tekenen. Nederland is Full Member van EDEN!

Natuurlijk is er nog veel meer gedaan, maar dat kunnen jullie lezen in de stukjes per Ministerie!

Ministerie van Werving en Coaching

Het Ministerie van Recruitment & Coaching heeft zich in de afgelopen termijn vooral gericht op het militaire aspect van het spel. Tijdens de Military Month stuurden we meer dan 200 nieuwe spelers een uitnodiging om naar de IRC te komen, waar dagelijks gratis Q5 wapens zijn uitgedeeld aan spelers tot 500 health points - in totaal zijn er 415 wapens verstrekt! Op #coachingNL hebben we weer een flink aantal nieuwe spelers verder kunnen helpen in het spel en op #MasterclassNL zijn 3 masterclasses gegeven (military basics, alliances en politiek/MoFA). Morgen maken we weekwinnaar #3 bekend en daarbij verdelen we alle extra donaties van sponsoren over de nieuwe spelers die enthousiast hebben meegedaan! Daarnaast zijn we nu heel concreet bezig met het opzetten van een nieuw portal voor ons forum waar alle informatie die nu wat moeilijk te vinden is op het forum, direct overzichtelijk bij elkaar staat.

Ministerie van Onderwijs en Cultuur

Het Ministerie van Onderwijs en Cultuur heeft zich de afgelopen maand op verschillende onderdelen ingezet voor het land. Ten eerst is er aan het begin van het termijn overleg geweest met het Ministerie van Recruitment en Coaching om de taken te verdelen en elkaar niet in de weg te lopen.

Hierna moesten wij als ministerie meteen vol aan de slag om de verjaardag van onze grote gorilla voor te bereiden. Een speurtocht over IRC werd uitgezet, waarna de burgers die de tocht wisten te voltooien getrakteerd werden op een leuk kadootje. Op de dag zelf waren er wat opstartproblemen, maar uiteindelijk is alles toch goed en gezellig verlopen.

Daarnaast hebben we de burgers de afgelopen weken ingelicht rondom de verschillende verkiezingen in ons land en ook wat de bezetting van Polen en Hongarije hiermee te maken hebben. Deze artikelen, en meer, zijn terug te vinden in onze huiskrant van het ministerie welke via deze link te vinden is:

Ook hebben we weer een mooi aantal mensen mogen verwelkomen op het forum. Deze hebben hun bonus gekregen en een aantal hiervan zijn gelukkig al vaker gespot. Wat dat betreft kunnen we terug kijken op een redelijk succesvolle maand, ondanks dat niet altijd alles loopt zoals je van te voren had gepland.

Ministerie van Financiën

Het ministerie van Financiën heeft deze maand 13.500 NLG aan gewone subsidies uitgereikt en 5.800 NLG aan subsidies voor projecten. We hadden een budget deze maand van ruim 2,2 miljoen NLG. Het MoD heeft hun helft van het budget helemaal gebruikt en is zelfs iets over het budget heen gegaan. Dit is gebeurd in overleg met het congres, omdat we alvast een reserve bij het MoD wilden aanleggen voor de komende maand, omdat we zonder congres geen donaties kunnen doen aan MoD. De rest van de ministeries is ruim binnen het budget gebleven, het grootste deel van hun uitgaven zijn geweest voor het afsluiten van MPP's. Er is nog ruim een 0,5 miljoen van het totale budget over. Door de bezetting van ons land en de daling van de prijzen op de markt ligt ons budget voor volgende maand een stuk lager, waarschijnlijk rond de 0,8 miljoen NLG. We zullen dus volgende maand wat moeten gaan bedenken om onze (belasting)inkomsten omhoog te krijgen.

Dear citizens of eNetherlands,

On the start of my term, I set some different goals, like finishing some long term projects. With all we made good progress, some not as much as I hoped for, but still nice progress.

We started the term, even though we were occupied, with some nice events. On IRC we organized an event for my Birthday (http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-cp-birthday-party-this-sunday-be-there--2032184/1/20) and epix received the Honorary Sable (http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-cp-eresabel-honorary-sabre-2032290/1/20).

After that Hungary tricked us and got our southern region. This was also bad for the relations between the Netherlands and Belgium. (http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-cp-how-neutral-is-ebelgium-amp-the-battles-for-southern-nl-2034050/1/20) Also a big part of the Belgian Congress wants us as a Natural Enemy. (http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-cp-about-the-ne-belgium-declared-us-2048515/1/20 & http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-cp-hoe-ze-van-ons-houden-how-they-love-us--2049838/1/20) This was also no improvement. The time will tell if it will be better or worse.

We succeeded to remove the Hungarians from our regions. We now have one region back. Not much, but it's a start. The Heroes from those battles are honored through articles (http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-cp-o7-to-the-heroes--2040457/1/20 &
http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-cp-o7-to-the-heroes-1-2042395/1/20) and they received a nice medal on our forum!

The Military Council project was cancelled. (http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-cp-the-army-and-the-military-council-2041401/1/20) After that, the Minstry of Defense worked hard to make a new structure around the Minister of Defense and the Commanders of the State Military Units. We have made some nice progress there.
Next to a Supply Program for young soldiers (http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/boost-a-rookie-military-month--2033752/1/20), we now also have a Daily Supply Program for our Official Governmental Controlled Military Units (http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-dutch-armed-forces-join-today--2051700/1/20). With the Military Unit Alpha Unit, we are running a Pilot, where the Commander of the Alpha Unit and the Minister of Defense organize a coordinated strike.

In the last days of my term, we received the invite of EDEN to become Full Member (http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-cp-about-enl-in-eden-part-ii-2052153/1/20). This is a very nice outcome after months of hard work. After the Congress voted on the Treaty, I have signed it at EDEN HQ. The Netherlands is now Full Member of EDEN!

Ministry of Recruitment and Coaching

In the past term, the Ministry of Recruitment and Coaching has focused mainly on the military aspect of the game. During the Military Month we sent 200 new players an invite to join us on the IRC, where we handed out free Q5 weapons daily to players with up to 500 health points - in total 415 weapons were donated! On #coachingNL we were able to help quite a few new players ahead in the game and on #MasterclassNL we gave 3 masterclasses (military basics, alliances and politics/MoFa). Tomorrow, week winner #3 will be made public and we will divide all extra donations from sponsors between the new players who participated with such enthusiasm! Besides that, we made quite some progress in building a new portal to our forum in which all information that is now somewhat hard to find, will be directly accessible in a clear and organized way.

Ministry of Education and Culture

The Ministry of Education and Culture has contributed to our country on different aspects last month. The first thing at the start of our term was a meeting with the Ministry of Recruitment and Coaching to devide the tasks at hand and not do double work.

Next thing up were the preperations for the birthday of the big gorilla. An IRC quest was prepared, after which the citizens who succesfully completed this quest got a nice gift as a reward. On the day itself we had some start-up problems, but eventually everything went happy and well.

Next to that we informed the citizens about the different elections in our country and what the consequences from the occupation by the Polish and Hungarians were during the elections. These articles, and more, can be found in our ministry newspaper which can be found via this link:

We are also happy to have welcomed a nice amount of new citizens at our forums. These have received their bonus and luckily a few of them have been spotted again. Looking at it that way, we can look back at a reasonably succesfull month, even though not everything goes as planned beforehand.

Ministry of Finances

MoF has handed out almost 20.000 NLG in subsidies, 13.500 NLG 'regular' subsidies and 5.800 NLG subsidies for special projects. This month, we could spend well over 2,2 M NLG. MoD used their entire half of our budget, they even went a little over budget. However this only happened after we informed our congress that we wanted to build up a reserve at MoD, since we can't donated any money to MoD the next few weeks (since we don't have a congress at the moment). All the other ministries stayed well within budget. Most of the money they spent, was spent on MPP's. We have about 0,5 M NLG left of our total budget. Due to our country being occupied and the fact that marketprices keep dropping, next month budget will be a lot lower (probably 0,8 M NLG). We'll have to find a way to increase our (tax)incomes.
