Regarding behaviour and conduct of Sir Humphrey Appleby

First of all I would like to thank those who have taken the time to bring this matter to my attention. I appreciate your concern regarding the recent behaviour of Sir Humphrey Appleby and its impact on the eUK community.

I want to emphasise that eRepublik is a game meant to be enjoyed by players in various ways. However, it is crucial that we maintain a respectful and inclusive environment for everyone involved.

I want to assure you that I have been taking this matter seriously. While I may not have publicly addressed it immediately, I have been actively gathering information and assessing the situation. I believe in thorough investigation, time to reflect and finding an appropriate course of action.

I completely agree that no player should have to endure such abusive treatment, both within the game and through direct messages. Such behaviour tarnishes the spirit of community and undermines the positive atmosphere we aim to foster.

I apologise if my silence on the matter has been interpreted as indifference. Rest assured, I am committed to maintaining a welcoming and inclusive environment in the eUK. I would always encourage all players who have experienced or witnessed any form of inappropriate behaviour to report it so that we can address these issues.

I have conveyed to Sir Humphrey my strong disapproval of his behaviour and emphasised the importance of maintaining a civil and constructive discussion. I have requested that he carefully consider his choice of words and approach, avoiding any repetition that may be perceived as harassment, toxic behaviour, or personal attacks—especially within the Congress thread.

While I do not condone his actions, I believe in working with individuals to help them realign their behaviour and live up to the expectations we have for a vice country president. I will keep a close eye on his conduct and assess his progress accordingly.

Creating a positive and welcoming environment for all players is of utmost importance to me. It is my hope that, through open dialogue and support, we can guide Sir Humphrey back to the standards of behaviour we expect from our community leaders.

Thank you again for bringing this matter to my attention, and please know that I am actively addressing the situation.

Sincerely,

Huey George - Country President of the United Kingdom
