Back in August, I had the good fortune to be recruited in to the RAF by Alfagrem. We had some fun back then, fighting a war on six fronts, even if Wayne thought the RAF's actions in Scandinavia were not necessarily a good idea. I thought back then that I'd made good choices - the UKPP were a strong party and the RAF were regularly up in the top 5 as a military unit.
Then Alfa left.
I know one person does not a party or a military unit make, and others have tried (and failed, or succeeded in trolling us - thanks, Wayne!) to drag the UKPP back onto it's feet, but events of recent weeks have made me despair.
I had been made Captain by Alfagrem, despite my relative inexperience, and saw my main task as being to keep Daily Orders up to date and relevant, something that I managed to do. Not exactly a hard job, yet once Alfa had disappeared I found myself demoted to regular grunt. Since then, there have been multiple occasions when I could not complete Daily Orders mainly due to the fact that battles had concluded, sometimes hours before I could fight. Disappointed and somewhat aggrieved at this, I nevertheless brushed it off and continued to the best of my ability, winning several D1 MU medals in the process.
In early December, I thought I saw a glimmer of hope in the MU, when BaronChris published this article. A couple of days later, this little snippet was published on the RAF feed.
It made me feel hopeful for a military unit that had screwed me over simply for doing my job. Seemed like BC was going to come good and make the RAF the force it was once again. But no.
Only about ten days ago, along comes a "new" military unit, S.T.R.I.K.E., and what does our PP and the man who had previously called for the renewal of a "Special Relationship" do? That's right. Abandons ship.
So no, for once I shall not be toeing the party line. I shall not be voting BC4CP.

Sorry your unit felt so low. I remember it constantly being in top 5. However the main issue here is that STRIKE is MU that harbours foreign agents.
Yes, I'm fully in agreement here, and am waiting for UKPP to be taken over by eUSA agents at the next elections. Still, meant as an insight into the way our party's candidate seems to work...
I reached out to Chris to establish good relations between two country's top parties (Feds/UKPP). He is a very capable leader and he was eager to learn more about how departments ran and how organized the Federalists were. So many people were quick to throw harsh criticism and call him 'generic' that no one cared to take the time to talk to him about goals and ideas he had for the party and for eUK. He has great ideas and initiative, unfortunately he has a very small supporting cast of players who are stifled by a few of his hiccups along the way as a politician. No one is perfect at this game, except, well, maybe SerF is lol.
Sorry 5am Saint, but someone who appoints a guy he knows only for 2 weeks as his Councilor, gives him top spot for Congress and goes into his MU that works against UK allies is either very naive or... Lets just stop at naive.
If he was such a capable leader, why were the rank and file not kept in the loop regarding the RAF/UKPP split, which as far as I can see has only come to light after the publication of this article? Keeping loyal party members in the loop should have been his first priority, not cosying up to someone who has been in eUK barely a month.

After what I've seen today, I think I'll stick around in UKPP. We still need more communication (and yes, I'm at fault there for not bringing out the issues in private first) but perhaps my article was what was needed to stimulate this.
Abbadon ditched BaronChris and the UKPP. There were several witnesses to this separation. Main reason: no one wanted to supply RAF with Abbadon as leader.
See, this is part of my issue. I knew absolutely diddly squat about this. I'm not sure if anyone did apart from Abbadon and BC. Noone in the MU or party seems to discuss anything any more, which is part of the reason I've resorted to two-clicking. Still, after almost a month of *nothing*, thought it was about time I spoke out.

This is what I know about this (not much, wasn't involved much, quite happy in the Royal Navy, not a big fan of this "Party MU thing", but supported this one because of the UKPP - RAF history)... Abaddon didn't want to give BC the commander post because he was afraid he will take over the MU, BC didn't want Abaddon as commander because the suppliers didn't want to give supplies until Abaddon is commander...for more details don't ask me.
Also to add, if someone is thinking that S.T.R.I.K.E. is a party MU - it's not. There was such an option after this whole thing with the RAF failed, but my stance was if not RAF then there is no need for this party MU stuff (as I said before not a fan of that) and especially not with S.T.R.I.K.E., because it was during the Spain - USA war and how can we have a party MU that is fighting for USA, being that Spain was an ally.
I never saw RAF as a "party MU" per se, merely an MU that was made up of party members. Still, nice to see people can't play nicely together...
Look many of you guys were used in the First place you was brought off by Alfragram HIGH wages, buying people for his party, he does this all time and then go missing, its a compete fast I feel sorry for everyone used this way !

umm, that is what 'stealing' is called...you can't just nick the treasury and consider it 'protection'! Particularly as BigAnt admitted the whole thing; that it was a steal!
Besides, TUP was never the enemy of the UK! If you considered yourselves honest citizens of the UK, you'd return the whole lot - with interest!
I'm sorry you feel this way Pauly. I'm not particularly happy about how things turned out, but members of this party worked incredibly hard to make the RAF work, but sadly it was Abaddon who refused to work with us. A lot of work went into making it work, but it was fruitless. STRIKE was a way of being able to bring supplies and activity to members- something that could not be done, as suppliers refused to work with Abaddon, believing that he thought the unit was his and not the UKPPs.
To me the problem here, was that you weren't informed, and I apologize. It's been a tough month for me personally which has caused a lack of communication.

Apology accepted. Real life sometimes gets in the way, as it has for me for the past few months, which is part of the reason I'm two-clicking (that, and lack of motivation). I don't know the reasons behind this, but I see you're no longer in S.T.R.I.K.E., which I commend.
My biggest gripe here was the total lack of communication from both the RAF and the UKPP leadership, not only to me but to the MU and party as a whole. As you're standing for CP, will this lack of communication continue to the eUK as a whole?
It won't no, because of what happened with raf, I wanted to come back with good news as well as the bad- but that's been a bit slow tbh. I hope you and the party know hat I've put a lot of time into trying to rebuild the party, and although not perfect, it's getting there.
Only you can see that with baronchris of military something fails -- look at his new militia STRIKE.

Thanks for this abaddon, you've shown exactly why the deal fell apart. You wanted the world in a week and then kicked memoir of the unit.

I don't think it was best handled in my communications to Abaddon- but was a difficult situation. Thank you Pauly- you wrote this because you care about the party and I appreciate that 🙂 if you ever want any info, just ask me in future, and I will happily oblige 🙂
It is a real shame the RAF split from The UKPP. As other's have said it was not a decision anyone in the party made. Also, it was communicated in one of the Conference meetups on IRC a while back. You are most certainly right that those in the know could have and should have communicated this throughout the party through all forms of available media.
It is a fault this was not done and I feel your pain.
You're also right that a Party or MU is not a one man band. It is, however, reliant on active members and if it's just one active man, when his light goes out, everyone else's light does, too.
A solution? Become active, get together with a few other active people and then change the world. It's what DC does, it's what Ser Fartsalot does, and heck, it could be what UKPP does if we get our act together.
Time is one thing I have had little enough of. I'll hopefully find out over the next few days whether I have time to become more active. Certainly not on the lines of the likes of SerF, but definitely more active than I have been the past couple of months.
