What A Guy's Secret Speech

Socialist Freedom Party of the United States

Comrades, quite a lot has been said about the cult of the individual and its harmful consequences.

This is especially a problem for leaders of the Socialist Freedom Party. If you look back on our former Party leaders, they have a habit of being dead. They did not die in office. They died of neglect after their terms were up. In their unfortunate cases, these good socialists failed to create cults of personality around themselves, and therefore suffered harmful consequences.

I will not let this happen again! We must protect the SFP by protecting its beloved leader, me!

In March of this year, I stepped into the void created by the sudden and still unexplained disappearance of Wilhelm Rontgen following his election to the Party presidency. I have been proud to be at the helm of the Party these last five months, even though that period has coincided with some of our darkest days as a nation. The United States has been buffeted by many events, but we're still here. The same can be said of the SFP.

As Wilhelm never organized a Revolutionary Committee, when I took over I was unsure if the next committee should follow numerically from the previously organized one, or if we should skip the number of the committee that failed to exist. Instead, I made the bold move to abolish the numbering of committees in favor of giving them descriptive names (e.g., the First Glorious Revolutionary Committee of the War of Resistance Against Global Capitalist Aggression). This has been completely unimportant but a lot more fun.

A few of the badges from the last five RCs.

My participation in the cabinet of the last few terms of the Vootsman administration has helped guide the government towards SFP goals -- crucially, greater communication about battles.

While I have not shied away from criticism of Voots, I feel that our voice is being heard, and the country is better for it. This alliance may not last the ages, but it benefits us in its current form. A future country president from the SFP, however, is something we should all be preparing for. That is an achievement we will need to make together, although I believe my own propaganda skills make me a strong candidate for that role when the time is right.

But the SFP comes first in my heart, and must come first in our work. We wish to see the principles of the Party reflected in our nation's priorities.

In many cases this has been resolved, as with social programs such as GIMP which enjoy wide support. But our egalitarian, collectivist approach will always be needed when the country is under assault. (Which is most of the time.)

I'm proud to have been your chairman these last months. Along the way I have written a Brechtian musical drama, a tell-all memoir, a poem about our citizens, and what is generally acknowledged to be the best eRepublik article of all time.

I want also to point out that, in the spirit of openness and restructuring that has been a hallmark of my administration, there are currently no plans to ship RF Williams to a remote gulag.

Всегда готов! — Always ready!

Let us work together for a glorious socialist future! Vote for What A Guy for Party President this week!

I love you all.
