Wales, vote Arthur Wellesley for MP!

Day 489, 09:00 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Arthur Wellesley

Many of you may not know who I am. My name is Arthur Wellesley, and I am standing in these elections for a seat in Parliament from Wales. I am a member of the United Kingdom Reform Party, commonly known as the UKRP, and I seek your vote.

I have been an active member of the eRepublik and eUK community since I joined. I am currently an apprentice at the Ministry of Finance under RoadRunnerSpeed and HazzN. In these tough economic times, I believe that the experience I am gaining in the Ministry will be quite useful if I am given the opportunity to represent you in Parliament.

I am a believer in small, limited government and economic freedoms. As an MP, I will seek to pass legislation that will benefit the people of Wales economically in accordance with these beliefs. I will work in concert with the NHS director to ensure that the Welsh Clinic works smarter, not harder, and therefore costs the government, and thus the taxpayer, less.

As your MP, I will work to increase participation among residents of Wales. I will give any constituent the ability to contact me, be it through in-game messages, e-mail, or MSN. I will be happy to look into issues that affect my constituents, and will carry back regional concerns to the national government. The creation of a Welsh Assembly is something that I believe will benefit the people of Wales, and I will be happy to work in concert with its appointed First Minister. Finally, as your elected official, I intend to continue to seek the creation of some form of my proposed Ministry of Research and Data collection, a service that I believe will benefit all the people of the eUK, not just Wales! Yet, to get this done, I'll need your vote!

I have been trying to make my presence known on the Welsh forums and will attempt to get to know the fine residents of Wales. I am quite easy to contact through PM, the forums, and MSN (don't hesitate to seek contacting me if you have a problem). I would also like to point out that, other than a brief stint in Romania to fight the war there, I have lived in Wales since I joined eRepublik, and have every intention of doing so unless my eCountry needs me elsewhere.

Thank you,
Arthur Wellesley
