Wales! Thank you, and Congratulations!

Day 492, 08:27 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Arthur Wellesley
Friends! Welshmen! Countrymen! Lend me your ears!

Today is an exciting day for me; it is my first as a Member of Parliament. The good people of Wales have seen fit to elect me as one of their representatives, and I couldn’t be happier about it. It was, in my opinion, a good day for Wales, a good day for the UKRP, and a good day for the eUnited Kingdom. I would like to congratulate my fellow MPs who won yesterday, I would like to thank past MPs for their service, and I want to thank everyone for their notes of congratulation and well wishing.

As I said before the elections, one of my top priorities will be working with the leading citizens of Wales towards a possible Welsh assembly. This is an avenue that, at the very least, should be explored, and I believe will be found promising. On a wider level, I plan to begin working towards seeing my proposed Research and Data Collection department and/or Ministry implemented, as I think that would go a long way towards streamlining government in the eUK. I have a few other ideas as well, but I’m going to keep those under my hat for the time being, don’t want to spoil the surprise.

To close, I want to remind all of my constituents that, regardless of party, I am your representative in London and I want you to feel free to contact me regarding any issues you have that I may be able to address. Feel free to contact me through the regular means, I will be happy to speak to you!

Thank you,
Arthur Wellesley
