Dat lijkt me erg logisch.
Erg indrukwekkende cijfers.
In verhouding
Daar lopen we dus achter.
Was alles slecht?

No time to look for pictures. You'll have to do with text. But it's the content that matters.
Differences
As you all have been able to read Aries and I have a different point of view on our military. Wat I find disappointing is that he, sadly for the last several months, comes no further then shouting that his way works, but explains it in no way nor can he show why. Of course a big Polish MU is stronger and has way more firepower. Seems very logical to me. But is it working better then?
I could easily make another comparison with MU’s from comparable size. Take PG for instance. Within eNL a well organized and big MU. Comparably size MU however do more damage on average. Up to four times as much! Does that mean PG isn’t working well? No that doesn’t need to be the case and I for sure don’t think so.
Or put eNL Navy side to side with comparably sized MU’s. You’ll see they score at least as high as the better MU’s of that size. That’s nice but doesn’t proof that Navy works better then PG. And if you put our former state MU’s Navy, Army and Airforce results together you’ll see they do comparable damage as PG with less members. Is that a reason to think PG is the lesser MU? No, that doesn’t need to be the case.
A bit more “scientifically” approached then?
Let’s look at averages and take the example Aries used with the Polish Civil Army (PCA) as a reference. I’ll use egov data as a source of course.
At first glance PCA is very impressive with a total influence last month of 55,142kk. The averages over the last 7 days? 1,035 fighters, 98,088 kills and 1,563kk influence.
PG looks skinny compared to that; in a month only 2.564kk influence and on average 44 fighters, 4,932 kills and 72kk influence.
Navy? 1,946kk influence and on average 27 fighters, 3,169 kills and 76kk influence.
In comparison
Now lets look at it more realisticly en look at it compared to the size we have. Then it looks rather different. What do we see? Of all the members of PCA, on average 51% is fighting. At PG that’s 37%, at Navy 61%. But as Navy consists on average of older players that isn’t very realistic so I add the state MU’s together. Of all the members of the state MU’s 38% is fighting. So we’re behind there. A logical consequence of the bonuses for PCA. With 100% bonus on weapons and food you can do twice as much.
The number of kills per fighter? PCA 48, PG 41, Navy 71 en of the state MU’s together it’s 40. Here also a clear consequence of the bonuses for PCA.
Influence per fighter? PCA 767k, PG 612k, Navy 1,706k and all state MU’s together 905k.
Monthly influence per fighter to conclude with? PCA 53kk, PG 58kk, Navy 71kk and all state MU’s together 66kk.
So if you look at it the more realistic way our MU’s aren’t performing bad. Our state MU’s even perform way better then PCA and PG. Even more so if you keep our 0% bonuses in mind.
So you have to look much further than simple total damage alone. We have to look at the possibilities and find smart wasy to deal with it. That’s totally lacking in a plan with which you simply throw anything on one pile “because that works better” just because some big MU does a lot of damage. There can be much smarter focus on several points and that’s what I, along with renewed unity, want to accomplish on MoD and is what we need desperately. The recent changes in command structure give extra possibilities that need to be taken into account on that.
Motivation
Furthermore it’s at least that important that the motivation of people is secured and goes up again. That has gone terribly wrong the last couple of months. It’s even going that far that the MoD left the state MU where he had command to go to PG. I do not believe you can truely say you want the best for an organisation while you walk away yourself.
Was it all bad?
Is it all bad then on MoD the lasts months? No of course not. The introduction of the commander feed in which MoD orders are communicated is very good and due to that unambiguous commands can be secured. Just like the tool that made the orders clear for anyone interested. Sadly after Thanatos left Aries didn’t use it anymore. Also positive is the work of Aries on IRC. Especially when supplies had to be handed out he did so without growing tired. So Aries is a valuable asset to our MoD. A fine lieutenant for example, but no Commander. For that he hasn’t got the tactical insight (yet) and is to impulsive.
Our Forum
To conclude with one last thing that has to change. I don’t know how many people actually noticed, but since quite some time nom the forum section of MoD for our civilians is closed. Even I as minister and Commander and thus part of MoD have no access anymore. One of the consequences is that people are not even able to create their avatar. Let alone they can get info. A part of the section can be closed of course, but this action as absurd and should change fast.

Head over to Ireland and check out the Irish Army.
Another prime example with a great commander and MoD, Seanan.
I'm not afraid to admit that both he and Thanatos are better then me at MoD. I'm not sure I will ever be quite up to par with them, but I do my best. Seanan has a ton of upgrades he has done to their single state MU that would be my basis for us if we ever accepted it.
You hinted to that direction earlier Aries. At the start of the whole transformation you wanted implemented. When asked how it would work and why it works better then what we had you never responded nor explained. Do you have an explanation on how it would work now and what the benefits are? If so we can discuss it and perhaps finally come to understand it. Until know there has been no explanation presented to other MoD officials or commanders and only the statement that it works better. What causes that is unknown so we can't judge that nor discuss it.
If you can't explain then I'm very sorry but you had 9 months on MoD to work it out, were asked to do so also to let other members understand, but if you still haven't I can have no confidence you will be able ot the next month.

"...why it works better then what we had you never responded nor explained."
But we did go back and forth on this subject. We had that whole forum debate of the subject with massive blocks of texts that resemble a scholarly paper. We don't have the activity to maintain three MUs with hardly any players in each. We hardly do enough damage as it is to justify more then one MU and those that aren't in an MU like PG or Navy basically miss out on any national MU contests. With the active players spread out so thinly, we literally promote inactivity because there will be hardly any communication in the news feeds. Having D1-2 separate from D3-4 means they don't even get to communicate with the older players and learn from them. And when we split them for more focused damage we are literally not doing anything to change things. All commanders have the same battle priorities and orders to fight in the same battles. Splitting our forces into separate MUs only makes people go more inactive and ruins our communication. Even if we did have massive amounts of damage to split forces into divisions, we would still be having them all fight in the same priority battles!
But sure, lets continue to believe 3 MU's are the way to go. I could continue to combat you if you would like. Perhaps we should do a damn debate? : p
As for what we have now, we could certainly use avatars and more emphasis on training new players. I would really need an awesome MoC to help with training the newer players in D1-D2, but that seems to be a difficult position to fill. I obviously still prefer the PG and IA models, but if most people don't want that, then we don't have to do it.
A good MoC on certain subject will most certainly help. What a MoC needs to communicate however isn't up to a MoC alone. Or do you expect all knowledge in the MoC dept? It's up to specialists to help MoC with the content. That I haven't seen from MoD for at least a year. All that has been published by MoC did come from MoC itself. Mostly developed by Zeeuwsmeisje with the aid of some other players. From MoD I would expect input for those articles. If somethingnew comes up an explanation such as for Guerilla Fights or the recent introduction of Combat Orders. Not to mention the fact that MoD is using Dave's commune to let people work without even giving it a glance if it comes to the costs of it. As you know our current commune costs a lot of money that is paid by Dave privately. Ever since the start MoD never gave a damn and kept on using Dave's money to act as if all was well. Well it ain't. What MoD did do was shout on several occasions money was no issue without any knowledge it would seem about our budgets...
As for the discussion on MU's; I asked several times to explain why it worked better. Al you said it would, but never explained. I explained to you why my method is preferred and all you came up with, and still do, is state that it's a wall of text. But never ever you explained why you're (or better Seanan's) approach works.
Would be nice if you could outline that then Aries. Sounds to me as if you don't know it yourself yet and that it is more or less hear say. Difficult to build on that and it explans why al I did see is indeed as weekstrom states; Just saying it works better. Thats no basis to build on.
Take a look at Paretorian Guard. They have solid communes, leadership, and organization. Everyone who requests help receives it in the chat. We also share world events and communicate about erep in general. The only thing off-limits is Dutch Politics. Our battles are fought together and we update orders on time. Everyone, D1-4, works together and the D3-4 players help out the newer D1-2 at every chance. It builds relationships and bonds, which is why most PG members stick together. We even generate ideas for improvements on orders and military operations. We have pride and are extremely loyal to each other. Again, the players speak for themselves.
Exactly Trannsvaal. That's why I reacted the way I did on Aries statement that the PCA worked way better and have all divisions mixed. Just stating that it for that reason works better ain't true. I can put quite different statistics opposite to that as you saw.
(Lack off) management is largely the cause of the problems and what we're facing for months now. Of course, handing out supplies on IRC is nice, although lost as it were battles without a chance. But the long term vision lacks, its only short term work.
The problems at hand aren't dealt with at all. The decline of state MU's where Aries had the responsibility is clear. Only Navy with a certain stuborn commander still works fine. And state MU and PG both make use of the kindness of Dave and van Spijck as they both pay loads of RL money to let it work and MoD knows but doesn't act. Even brags about how well PG works with the communes while in reality it only floats on van Spijcks purse...
MoD is, like PG sitting one an air bubble that is likely to collapse any time and MoD isn't doing anything about it.
And the organisation of it all needs to be taken care of. In my vision with 2 MU for the moment as thats all we have left for now as Aries sold the 3rd (where our original 4th has gone I wouldn't know. Is lost the last months somewhere). But it can also be differently if arguments are right. But I haven't seen them.
If my plans work out we can even test that in the future; 2 State MU's. One for 1-2 and one for 3-4 and PG besides it. All with the same rights and to the people the choice where they want to be part of. Main focus needs to be organisation of it all and integration of state MU's and PG. The other private MU's are small and for the short term of lesser concern.
