The Party Presidents Respond to my Gibbering Rambling. (Part 2)

Day 910, 11:09 Published in Ireland Ireland by Nikolasthe17th

Recently I posed a list of questions to all the party presidents of eIreland, well of the parties with a congressional presence. This article is a simple rehash of their answers, I won't doctor it. Transparency demands that I reveal my membership in the Freedom Party. I've never enjoyed pandering to a political party, and will keep this neutral.

The next installation is Moomoohead of the IFP.

What kind of people do you think you might support for congress, could you supply names?
I think official candidates leads to the party being run by an inner circle and kills off new ambitious members. Everyone should get their parties' support. This is not a view shared by everyone in my party but just my personal view. The only restriction I have ever put on people running and getting support from the party is that if previously elected they had to have been active and voted in the Dial. Other than that everyone is free to run.

Who do you imagine you'll put your support behind for the presidential race?

We set a process in our party for choosing CP support that I will continue to follow. Any one who wants to run posts up a mini manifesto on our forum a couple of days before congress elections? Then right after congress elections a primary vote takes place that includes support for any other parties we know are running and any internal candidates that want to run. Who ever wins has my support and the support of the party. I would have strong thoughts about working with some other parties, but it is a democracy and it is up to the party to decide. As Party President, I will ensure that the primary process is fair.

What do you want your party to do for the country as a whole?

As for the country. I think we are starting to work towards getting a much more efficient government BUT I would want more. It is a game and the goal should not to be the best bureaucrats in the eWorld all getting along. We have to have Missions each month to make it interesting and unite us in achieving a common goal. Helping a poor nation fend off an evil invaders, developing the top newspaper in the eWorld, or invading a country just for the fun of it. Pick a goal and put our energies into achieving it and having some fun doing so. I find debating tax rates, reprimanding some one for minor violations, constitutional amendments, or partisanship boring. We need to lead the country in an adventure, might contain a little risk, but what does not that is not fun. That is not a criticism of the current government, which I am a part of, it is again my personal view.

After his response I posed further questions to Moomoohead, and I will edit this article when he responds, It is my opinion that moomoohead, may make a great Cabinet member, he seems focused on interior works, any exterior position may be beyond him. This is not a dig, just my response to his answers.
