The Dissolution of PEACE, A well planned Move?
People all over the World celebrating the end of PEACE Gc.... Too Fast?
Many people from USA and all EDEN countries screamed "Huurraahhh!" When they see all over the news that Hungary, Indonesia--and few day later--Russia, Serbia, etc. were jumping ship off the PEACE boat! The only result being that Good finally won over the Evil Alliance. But now that the dust has settled, we need to analyze our new situation from a strategical point of view. Taking in consideration all the game mechanics, New rules implanted, new alliances made and broken etc... Not just the easy option of thinking.. "Yahh! We won!"
This should explain my point of view:

Today, Hungary launched an attack on a former alliance mate, Austria. I already see everyone on the roof screaming: "Imperialistic Hungary strikes again!"
However, imagine this was part of a larger plan. We know that Hungary is a super military, as well as economical power. With the latest updated in the game mechanics, the MPP's are now costing 100 Gold each! A little country like Austria cannot afford to spend what... maybe 1200-1500 gold each month to secure is borders. Right now, Austria has only 2 alliances signe
That is why I believe that the USA should take advantage of the present confusion in world politics and try to rally some countries to our cause. We need to set up a diplomatic strategy to bring countries under our protection. One of the best example of countries that could use our help is Mexico. I know that we had some fights with Mexico under Uncle Sam Presidency. I am also aware that we have a Peace treaty with them, bound by a contract. But we could go forward and make them our official allies. I hear people say that Mexico is a bunch of traitors, for allowing Columbia some region swaps that lead to the attack on our southern region during WWIII. France did the same and didn't we just sign a Peace treaty with them? Let's say that we become good buddies with Mexico ( Make an effort and imagine god dammit!) then Brazil starts absorbing some small countries in South America. It could be really useful to be on good terms with Mexico. We could use the same strategy that Columbia used to get our revenge on them. We all know that any country needs war to keep the economy secure, the Military strong, and the citizens health and activity at 100%. Yeahhh... We have a training war with Ireland. I'm saying that it is not enough to motivate people to do more than two-click because training wars are boring. People less fortunate wont spend money on Guns/Gifts during training wars, which will not help our economy. We have seen how our patriotism exploded during WW3. Down to 1 region, the stronghold of Florida, people were giving all they had in each and every single fight! Everyone--poor or rich--didn't care about spending all of their paycheck on Guns, better food, and gifts. This brilliant ARTICLE, from a Romanian player, provided all the economics stats from top countries of Erepublik, you can easily see that USA, even with the highest population, is still very far behind our enemies economically.
I am aware that we already have a huge list of MPP's signed right now. USA JCS and Leaders will have to make some important decisions soon on which MPP's are most valuable. I believe that countries like BiH, Israel, Moldavia are good allies. But, is it worth it to pay 100 gold each month for countries that have such a minor impact on our economy and global Damage in battle? We have no border with those people. We can hardly defend them correctly if trouble occurs. A country like Israel would truly benefit a merge with Greece, same for Moldavia with Romania. I also think that Allied leaders from USA, Spain, Poland, Croatia and Romania should have a meetings and dress the list of countries that need protection.
It is wasn't a "Training War" that brought these countries a solid economy. They became powerful because of real WAR! They built their empire on selling guns for critical battle. We saw the same thing happens here in USA. When we faced important fight such as Nunavut, California or Manitoba, prices raised like crazy ( 6-7$ for a Q1 gun!) But since the major conflict ended, the economy is running slower, wages are dropping, company owners have to drop the price of their goods because they cannot sell them. People are bored and that is reducing player retention. EDEN/BRO needs to push the attack button. They need to force enemies to regroup once again, just like what happened when PEACE was first created. We need a Nemesis, a Bad guy, an Evil Axis. That is what motivates the players and progresses the game.
Players all over the US are calling for the invasion of the UK. The popular quote these days--in many different fonts, colors, and styles--is "I stand ready to kill Redcoats!" People are seeking battle, they need something to keep them interested in the game. Unfortunately, the UK is well defended with some big MPP's (Indo, Huns, Russia and many more). It would be a good idea for our government to activate more MPP's right now. But if they decide to do it, I would much rather see them going after Columbia! UK is a sad place... always raining. Even worse, they only have 1 High grain region; USA controls plenty of High grain regions, we don't need more. Of course, attacking UK would be a sweet revenge for the betrayal they committed against us and our northern Bro, Canada.

Finally, I recommend everyone to shout, write articles like this one, and scream out loud that they want WAR! War is the only thing that drives us forward! War is the only way to get our country to grow stronger and and united!

😛one is France and the other is Malaysia. Even together, these 3 countries have no chance of victory against Hungary. Maybe all the leaders of PEACE countries came to conclusion that it was better to merge Austria with Hungary. Maybe tomorrow we will see Brazil attack a smaller neighbor such as Venezuela; or why not Japan getting totally absorbed by Russia! We know that Leaders of countries are always searching for solutions to assure the future. They are always looking for ways to manipulate the game mechanics and turn them in their advantage. I already see people saying, "Yeah, but if a country attacks a region that is not owned by the legitimate owner, MPP's are not activated" That is perfectly true. But I think Austria has more of a chance to repeal an invasion from Switzerland or Slovakia (for example) if they are fighting alongside the Hungarian Army.

😛Hungary, Iran and Malaysia. Columbia's regions are much more valuable then the UK's. They have High Oil and wood as well as High Grain. If we could get a boarder with Colombia (That is where our buddy, Mexico, becomes important), we could invade Colombia in few days. What more does Columbia have to offer? A foot hold in South America, a boarder with Brazil (In case my first theory becomes reality) and an opportunity to make a new friends such as Peru, who has already been threaten by his "PEACE"-Full neighbour's.
Finally, I recommend everyone to shout, write articles like this one, and scream out loud that they want WAR! War is the only thing that drives us forward! War is the only way to get our country to grow stronger and and united!

How would we be able to go through mexico to get to columbia if Serbia didn't want us to? We'd be fighting a war against them via the proxy of mexico.

Under the training war agreement, allies are paying both sides of the MPP so we don't have to worry about choosing who we can afford. They have the benefit of protection and war games for one fee as well.

the Huns and the Indos are running War games every day while the dust settles and they assess their strengths and new alliances. and, yes, both have already started to show their true colors of Imperialist aggression.
the Irish War Games are necessary for our civilian population, so let's not discard one thing that is good because it's not good enough or doesn't accomplish everything.
Our President and the Joint Chiefs are not kicking back idly, they hear our calls for War and Revenge, but they understand the whole balance of power and economics involved in the big picture. Colonization and Consolidation may be the wave of the future. Surely Diplomatic expansion through reevaluation of former adversaries will be part of our future security.

The option i enumarated above are long term goal. Create friendship with Mexico is a long term project.. But we need to move faster. Our enemies are adapting to the new rules faster then us! They have create battle, conflict so their population stay active and consume stuff. I understand that we can just go attack anybody without serious planning.. But i think we need to find solution and evaluate option faster !

its not really correct to compare france's invasion to mexico's conduct during the war. France launched a half-hearted blocking attempt. Mexcio signed a NAP with us then broke the spirit of it by allowing columbia through. Mexico's action was a stab in the back

See, that's not the goal of the game. This isn't Risk, goals in this game are varied for each particular member...kinda how there is really no set goal for RL.
War does play a very important part though, and I personally would love to have some more regions. But this obviously isn't the case with others.
Speaking of regions, I still think that, since the Admin made DC a region for us, they should give us our territories as well (Puerto Rico, Guam, etc.) Guam especially since it'd give us another way into Asia without having to go through Russia/Japan.

Your first point about absorbing countries to protect them doesn't make much sense. Most countries appreciate their independence, so why would they agree to being conquered to ... protect them from being conquered...?
If war is the only thing interesting in this game, that's largely because so many of you spent so much time shouting down and driving away anyone who didn't want to play this as a war-simulation. You gutted any aspect of the game that wasn't directly related to war. You booed the role-players and the politicos.
I for one would like to see some of the war-mongerers quit playing. You may be bored, the rest of us are having fun playing at OTHER things.

The economy does not need war, but let's say it does need stimulus...you can improve prices by doing what FDR did in the thirties, by buying excess goods and supporting prices. Moreover, you can redistribute what you buy to those who need it. The game designers put this into the system, because they are socialists from Europe, but you are all ignoring this obvious point.
