Nihilism in Revolutionary eCommunism

Day 3,204, 19:49 Published in Belgium Belgium by Konrad Neumann

There are certain groups in the eWorld that push for radical Marxist revolution. They evoke the image of Marx and the red flag. They proclaim the symbols and battle cries of liberation. While movements come and go, there is a consistent theme to the radical left and that is failure. While there are a few issues that contributed to their lack of success; however, it all comes down to consciousness. There is no will for their vision of the world as it is flawed.

Marxist theories revolves around a class structures. It argues for the rise of the proletariat working class due to the unsustainability of the capitalist system. The problem is, what are the class system in eRep? Without a real class, the whole notion of Marxism falls apart as the economic realities and the partition of power are very different. What is the proletariat class in eRep when many of us owns our own means of production literally or in the form of a MU? Is the means of production most vital or is it in the context of military divisions? The Marxist language does not apply into this system and to force it is a form of metagaming on their part. In the game like the real world, there is in proletariat conscience for a revolutionary movement or governance.

Will and consciousness are vital in a successful movement as it deals with the level of support. For the message of the radical groups holds no salience with the common people, they will not obtain meaning social capital. Spewing rhetoric and accusations does not inspire or raise the consciences of society but only makes it worst. For in any society, there are norms and traditions where most people hold dear. The very notion of society is based on rules and norms which in theory will promote and increase the greater good. The radicals are speaking a private language which lacks contextual relevance of normal political lexicon of the community.

The lack of will due to the nonexistence of a revolutionary proletariat consciousness is their main obstacle. While I appreciate Kantian and Hegelian notion of the will, it is too individualist and rational in our discussion of the proletariat consciousness. The Marxist movements in this game is that of an few individuals which has totally different views and language of the eWorld. This is why they are failing and will continue to fail. The only way for there to be a real revolutionary consciousness is the Schopenhauerian notion of the collective will of the universe described as :

"Reflection that if one looks deeply enough into oneself, one will discover not only one's own essence, but also the essence of the universe. For as one is a part of the universe as is everything else, the basic energies of the universe flow through oneself, as they flow through everything else. So it is thought that one can come into contact with the nature of the universe if one comes into substantial contact with one's ultimate inner being."

For Schopenhauer, this is not the principle of self-consciousness and rationally-infused will, but is rather what he simply calls “Will” — a mindless, aimless, non-rational urge at the foundation of our instinctual drives, and at the foundational being of everything.

Overall, this can be true with most movements; however, this is especially true in the radical movements as they are dealing with a framework and paradigm that is not compatible with the institutions and structures of the game reality. Only through a Schopenhauerian conciseness and will for a revolution movement will it bear fruit.

Therefore, while there are many active leftist and revolutionary groups, none of them made good on their vision of a classless utopia. Some groups joined the establishment and became active in politics while others are “outsiders” and enjoys the role of being the opposition. The language of revolution and struggle is romantic. Since there is a lack of consciousness and will in both the Kantian and Schopenhauerian notion, they continue the delusions of corruption of the elites, nonexistent injustices of power dynamics, etc to fuel and continue their dissonance of why their world view did not and will not become reality. It is a self fulfilling prophesy as the more they resort to their revolutionary language, the more outlandish they sound, the more they will alienate themselves from the society which caused them to use more outlandish language to fuel their illusion and to support their dissonance.

eBelgium is a great example of where there are huge dissonance and illusion of the radical left. While the revolutionaries wanted to play a metagame where they will create a pure Marxist utopia where there will be a classless society with direct democracy. While this sounds good, they faced many hardships. Not only was the game mechanic an hindrance to their goals, but the community was against their views and beliefs. The revolutionaries wanted to create a system with no borders and immigration control. One of their members, lin0lium opened up an open referendum on his newspaper where all peoples can vote in a simple vote of Aye, Nay, or Abstain. The end results was overwhelmingly Nay to open borders. The revolutionaries hold many of these referendums and none of them resulted in the way they wanted. Since the results were the antithesis of their agenda, they viewed the community as the enemy who is corrupt and used their political seats to invite other revolutionaries and PTOers to take over the country with force.

In many ways, this reminds me of Machiavelli’s work, “The Prince.” What the revolutionaries did was a form of warfare against the community of eBelgium. Since the revolutionaries were weak, they had to resort to what Machiavelli calls mercenaries and auxiliaries. Since these mercenaries and auxiliaries in the conflict for different reasons (treasure, different groups, etc) they will not put all of themselves and effort in the war effort. Whereas the eBelgium has the consciousness of eBelgiumness and traditions and the will to defend it, they are in much greater position to resist the revolutionaries. While eBelgium did had help from great friends like the eUK, eNL and eGermany etc, eBelgium still need that inner strength in the form of the will in order to survive and resist the many hostile attempts for the revolutionaries to take over.

In the end, there is no interest and will for the revolutionary world view. The game system itself prevents classical notion of class. The language of revolution and anarchy has little to no appeal to the common lexicon of the common people in society. Therefore, there is no will in both the Hegelian and Schopenhauerian notion of the will. If there is a chance for revolution, it cannot follow the notion of the Kantian will as it is too rational and individual. It will have to follow the Schopenhauerian notion of the will of the universe. Despite this, there is great dissonance with the revolutionary movement. They are in a self fulfilling loop in which the more they evokes the cry of revolution, the more alienation they will face, the more dissonance they will fell which results in the use of more radical language. Despite the many revolutionary groups in the game, they all failed since they failed to evoke a consciousness and will for such a vision. Therefore, they are detach from any real intellectual and logical merits, they are nothing more than a broken record player that keeps playing the same foul notes over and over again polluting the peace and quiet in our societies.
