Fao: Lucy28 and Select28

Day 5,279, 16:28 Published in United Kingdom New Zealand by Mr Knee

This is actually a serious question asked in good faith. Obviously I think both of you are guilty of times of BH sniping and both of you think I too am guilty of this. As far as that debate goes, I don't think we'll agree so putting a line under that for this article. As I say, I ask this intended in good faith.

As part of the discussion I made this point:

Tonight I went into battle around 30 minutes and dropped damage of to bring it up to 263,685,259

The other 36m of damage was done by Allan Saltwater.

Approaching 50 minutes, Oliver Q turned up and did 249m damage to bring it up to 539,372,304 and to take the lead by circa 23m.

In light of the prior accusations and the baseline where we all make these judgements, would you

a) Consider Oliver Q's damage to just over mine to be an attempted BH snipe?
b ) And if either of you were in my place, would you feel justified in turning up with a few minutes to go and do just enough late damage to take back the BH win?
c) And following from b ) if either of you happened to be in Oliver's position and I chose to do a last minute grab, would you see it as evidence of me as BH sniping?
d) Considering I can usually do around 200m plus damage per hit with full energy (ie, no use of energy bars) and I know Lucy28 is capable of hitting harder, do you consider Allan's initial early damage of 36m damage to be the marker for being the rightful claiment to the BH?***

^ Not intended as a trick question. As I say, I ask in good faith and am wondering where you draw the line in terms as to how much effort a person has to put in to be able to claim the BH is morally theirs to take back.

And throwing the question out to the casual reader of this article...

As per the original screenshot I put up, do people agree with me that the older community spirit where people were more careful has long since departed and that in the recent times people are generally more dick-ish towards each other when it comes to fighting for BH medals? And does anyone else think the general dickery has been a little bit worse since the daily challenge offered points for winning a medal?

Just looking now in a battle just about to end I see:

source: https://www.erepublik.com/en/military/battlefield/447694/0/battleZoneStatistics (round 7)
^ Is this a BH snipe attempted at around 60 minutes ? Hmmmmmm....

And in another battle about to en😛

^ That is an interesting last minute burst of damage doing from about minute 1:25:00... Hmmmmmm....

Meanwhile slightly earlier in Division 2:

This too looks a little bit sus, although I think I have seen Glen Bank typically do about 6 million in division two so with the amout of damage done, maybe it is low enough to be considered fair game to conveniently overtake.

There are quite a few other battles tonight where the winning damage is close but the damage graph suggests both the main players were adding last minute damage so it is unclear who was technically winning at any given point in time.

These were just a handful flicking through the UK battles in the last couple of hours. I see this happen daily.

a) Does anyone know the actual rules of when it is ok to challenge for a BH medal?
b) Does the wider player case care and only get annoyed if they think someone has done it to them?

And lastly

While I suspect any investigation you might carry out is probably going end up with you just signing off Keithunder's report of "Anyone who is a member of the Pirate Cat party is guilty and everyone else is innocent" because it has always been that way, if you do actually look into this, the issue is very much a community issue and not simply a "who do you like most" between two groups.

*** while ignoring that Alexander J. Burrell would have overtaken Allan by a few million to win the BH if neither myself or Oliver had turned up
