Deafening Silence

Day 4,738, 00:54 Published in USA USA by zvid

Hello everyone,

these days I've been reading quite a lot about the elections, debates were pretty intense with a lot of mud being thrown on each others. In a chaos like that it's hard to extinguish who fights who and why. I haven't been particulary interested in fighting, both over the articles or in the battle. It just seems that fighting doesn't make much sense in a game such as this one. At least for a new player. When I hit my entire health I can barely make 1% of the highest damage. Sure, I'll be improving each and every time, but so will others. When I realized that I also made a decision not even to try being competitive in the battles. However, I didn't expect there might be another way to fight. Last couple of days I felt like in the giant hall where people are holding their debate club exercises. Gotta say, I'm not amused. There are some authors that can really write well, but the words just aren't coming through, they seem empty, they seem staged and prepared beforehand. We lack some passion in them.

Even though I'm still not sure who's fighting who and why, you can tell by the articles and comments who's got the passion. For someone who's not getting involved in the wars, this kind of the passion might be the only one I'm gonna sense playing this.

I've been Feds party member until I saw some of the stuff and read some of the articles. Many Feds I've met are great guys, very helpful characters and polite people. However, they've decided to be represented by someone I couldn't support. Not because I think he's wrong, that'd be a big claim for a fairly new player. It's simply because I don't feel it, and I need to feel to to belong to it. I've decided to join Blacksheep party. I've been a blacksheep in RL so it won't be hard for me to fit in. I'm kind of a person that just likes to do things its own way.

I'd like to thank Melissa for helping me out in the beginning. She's a real gem.

My plans wasn't even to write an article, but since there's a mission for me to do it I figured out it might be good if I write some of the first impressions in here.

Anyways, I've been investing all the money I get into the raw material companies only to realize I need to move them somewhere else now. It will cost me more than I made since I started the game. I don't complain, it's just weird that I have to spend a lot of money to keep making small profits.

It's been a nice few days and I'm glad I've met some people around here. Special thanks to Stormin from US Pentagon MU, the gentlemen running the MU are extremely helpful. Oh and Odysseus as well, he's really great at motivating new people to write, do anything.

I think I'm just starting to...do things.
