Join the new world

Ladies and gentlemen, citizens of our glorious empire eJapan, we, the Otaku Party, are proud to present to you one of our many upcoming cultural events organised and held by our party.

We noticed that our beloved country lacks cultural events ( not counting the Empress event organised and held by the goverment - The Ministry of Culture & History ), and this is our solution to this "problem".

We are hoping that you will find this events intresting and chose to participate in them in, so that we together make this to become traditional event in our country holding every month for years to come.


First event of many to come is the Cosplay of the month.
Before going into details about this and other events, I want to explain the term Cosplay to those who are unfamiliar with it or know very little or anything about it.

Cosplay (コスプレ ), short for "costume play", is a performance art in which participants wear costumes and accessories to represent a specific character or idea. Cosplayers often interact to create a subculture centered on role play. A broader use of the term cosplay applies to any costumed role play in venues apart from the stage, regardless of the cultural context.
Favorite sources include manga, anime, comic books, video games, and films.

Now then when we all know what cosplay is, we can start talking about the event itself.


First we shall start with the rules for participating in the event:

-Only the citizens of Japan have right to participate in this event.

-Nominations will be held for 3 days ( from Monday to Wednesday), so you have more time to think about your candidate and nominate him/her.

-You can only nominate one cosplay candidate.

-Nomination must contain:
1) Name of the cosplay character,
2) Name of the anime,manga, game and etc. from where the cosplay character is.
3) Cosplay doesn't have to be connected to anime/manga, western cosplay types will be also accepted ( from western games, movies, cartoons and comics).
4) Not necessarily the name of the cosplayer,but it can be posted.


-You must present minimum one picture of the cosplay(er) candidate,you can add more but they have to be pictures of the same cosplay character, not many pictures of diffrent cosplay(er)s of the same character. Please put the pictures in spoilers.

All of these conditions must be met, nominations without these elements will be considered as incomplete and will not be accepted for the event.

Nominations and voting will be held on the official forum of eJapan, you will have to log in or register, don't worry, registering is simple and will last only few minutes. When you are finished with this, continue to this topic on the forum here: http://nihonforums.net/viewforum.php?f=193 ( look for the cosplay of the month nomination topic, because for some reason when I put link of the topic here it doesn't open it, I got a notice that this topic doesn't exist??? ) and nominate your candidate.

The nominator of the winning candidate will get the prize of 300 JPY.



As for the other upcoming events, all that I will reveal for now are their names:
Anime song of the month ( second event )
Game of the month ( third event )
Anime music video of the month ( fourth event ).
More info about them ( nominating, voting ) will be revealed in time to come.
