Congressmen Interview Archives #1

Day 3,483, 17:55 Published in USA USA by Max Tse Tung

I recently joined the SFP and as a result I've made tons of friends, and am able to get a chance to meet with congressmen. With this I am able to deliver to you, the reader insight into political events and the actions our government take.

Now, that being said here is the full interview with Congressmen Phil Harmony:

Q: So what are some of the problems in eUSA at the moment?

A: The biggest problem is that we have a divided community that reflects itself onto Congress. On one side are the players of the "establishment" that have been running things since day 1. The other side is a political force demanding change of course. By nature, only those in power can abuse those that are a political minority. This frustrates people that are thinking "different". That are questioning the establishment's decision. They are often declared un-patriotic and sometimes fiercely attacked. Pig-disgusting elitists are pig-disgusting!

Q: So who are the major world powers, and what are their goals?

A: eSerbia is the top force and their alliance is the strongest. eRomania, ePoland, eHungary, eBulgaria, FYRO eMacedonia and eGreece are among the stronger European forces. eArgentina, eBrazil, and eChile lead in South America. The eUSA is a significant force. But when you analyze in more detail you need to break it down by damage through divisions and air supremacy; here it gets more complicated. Also, some military units are so strong, they hold whole countries.

"Their goals are dominance: in war, economically, and with influence through diplomacy."

Q: What steps should players in eUSA take to ensure the US stays a world power?

A: eUSA is not a world power. The USA want's to be everybody's darling. We often change sides, let former allies down and pick new friends. As we are a country with almost max-bonuses, we're pretty much safe. Other countries have their production here, so our core regions are protected through this. But we are a paper tiger: strong in division 4, as we have whales, credit-card tanks and and old-fags dealing damage there, respected force in air as well, but lack incentive to stimulate new players in the lower divisions. The establishment is 100% isolationism, all the power in the hands of the chosen few. But you know how it goes: absolute power corrupts absolutely. What should the players do? They should stop believing that everything is like the elite tries to present. and be open to alternative directions we could take. They should show more interest to get involved. And ask yourself: why should you vote for a country president who wants his 5th term in a row? Did he deserve it? What were his results?

Q: What would you do if elected president?

A: Actually I did run for president last election. ( https://www.erepublik.com/en/main/presidential-elections/24/1493967600 ) I knew I have no chances, but I wanted to present alternatives to the community. Here are my 2 campaign articles: https://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-ph4cp-unite-and-revive-america-2639440/1/20 and https://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-ph4cp-solidarity-equality-freedom-2639763/1/20 The president has limited power: his decisions need to be verified by a congressional majority. But he can influence our foreign relations and articulate the direction we should go.

Q: Any advice to new players?

A: Advice to new players? Get involved, be active, ask questions, use media and write articles. Communicate with people that share your opinion and also with those that don't. But don't ever let anyone abuse you, intimidate you and tell you what and how to think. Use your own mind and judge people by their deeds, not their words. Don't buy into fake promises and cheap propaganda.Think critically and join those that stand for democracy, liberty and your right to chose.
