Are wages a stumbling block in the erepublik economy?
Releasethe Krakken
Currently, the highest offers range between 1450 and 1500.
our wages reached an all-time high for the modern game at near 2000 cc.
Many would-be erepublik economists pleaded for the abolition of wam clicks.
Yet that would no doubt have been disastrous and have stopped our economy in total.
In fact, even at 1450, I think most producers don't really make enough money to keep up with the wages they pay or are basically level pegging.
In my case this would be because we are in some kind of war with Turkey that hampers my WRM production to a large extent. Which means I cannot deploy all my work tickets to produce Q7 weps.
And maintaining a full complement of houses also is expensive.
Question though is it these new wages worth it. Sooner or later you run out of your overtime points meaning you can work a few times a day . Although 15000 sounds much it is not really enough to grow and expand in erepublik.
Ironically the very same people that could build a small lucrative manufacturing empire using cheap labor are the same people that probably push salaries to such highs.
If prices were maintained even a young player, could profit more than his current wages if wages where more in the 400 - 500 range.
I think the Serbia job market has decided on this path and maybe more people should realize that lower wages would actually be more lucrative for the majority of players.
Just my 10 cents.

Wages wont fall unless the market is actively pushing cheaper goods. It's hard to lower prices below the standard that the big US producer's run.
in v1 there was a work-skill stat and no wam. new players would legit starve to death on the going wage. state run youth labour camps were the state's largest expenditure and q5 wpns felt like Faberge eggs.
In v2 they tried to add complexity to the work&military modules and it collapsed the player base.
So in answer to ur titular question: no, wages are not the stumbling block in the economy. the economy is the stumbling block of erep!
The real problem in this is that the houseprice hasn't dropped… sooner or later we wil get no profit from buying houses.
i dont think we do get that much already. especially if you're scrambling the whole time
about houses
before houses get expensive warbhoy made a national post warning us from the increase of houses prices
you had to buy enough houses atleast for a year
