And so Canada gloats back...

So Canada fights and wins back Nova Scotia for itself. Fine by me...

To be honest, I've been fighting with the resistance against Britain - and I've got a few e-mails from those connected with the UK government pointing out I shouldn't be reading US/Canadian propaganda and be fooled into fighting the wrong way 😃 Although I'm still a noob of the game, I've played long enough to make up some basic decisions for myself. I appreciate the fact that upon being British, the Americans and Canadians consider myself a traitor for not fighting on their behalf at the start (despite there being no apparent official agreement beyond the usual "special bond" that the UK and its former colonies have in real life). Now that I've faught against the UK, I suppose that also technically makes me a traitor in the traditional sense.

Going back to Canada's recent success at winning back some of their tradition regions (and I suspect some regions will pass back and forth a few times), I suspect that the will of the average British person in the game isn't really bothered about fighting in defence of the Canadian regions currently occupied and are happy for Canada to have them back. Although any fighting I've effectively done on behalf of Canada probably wouldn't made a lot of difference overall, I wonder how close things might have been if all British people had faught for their country instead...

For me, the fighting with the UK against Canada (upon playing the game a week or so) was in part an unfortunate side effect of what many people seem to see as a justifiable war of payback against some of the US's prior attacks on other nations. I think that ideally most Brits would have prefered it if Canada wasn't involved and so could have been by-passed without losing any of it's regions. Alas Canada understandably stood side by side with the US and faught bravely until the US crumbled and was forced to surrender. As far as I'm concerned, any hostilities with Canada is over and there is no justifiable reason to stay there. I expect to fight for the Canadian resistance to win back any territories from the eUK, even if the amount of damage done will be insignificant.

I fully appreciate how bitter Canada and the US is with the decisions made by the UK government, but not all eUK citizens agreed, although I suspect we'll get tarnished with the same brush.... Of those of us who have faught with Canada probably don't expect any thanks or anything for doing so but hopefully it'll be remembered by Canada when the US recovers and will probably go on the war path again to pay the eUK back for not fighting next to you.
