Dear Citizens of eUK,
I would like to extend gratitude of the Czech people to Prime Minister Sara Droz and the UK Parliament for returning the money that was stolen during the illegal Take Over of the Czech Congress by the UK Paras in March.
It was a matter of some considerable pain to Czech citizens that such close friends could have betrayed our trust in such a way. And it is no exaggeration to say how relieved we are to see our traditionally strong relations with the eUK restored.
The Czech people are now united in their resolve to see a closer relationship with eUK - out of the depths of the most painful crises - we are firm in our resolve to rise to greater heights to friendship and co-operation.
The stolen money (81 gold) has now been returned, and I understand that your Parliament is also considering return of the 80 gold denied to legitimate Czech congressmen by the Take Over. Whilst I encourage your Parliamentarians to look favourably on this issue, it is the Will of the Czech people, that we no longer let this issue remain a block to our enduring friendship.
As an IRL Brit who has lived all my eRepublik life in Czech Republic, I can tell you that there are few other countries Czech citizens hold in higher regard than the UK.
I look forward to stronger and more united future with our British brothers and sisters.

How was it illegal?
Read the message from your Prime Minister. As proper process was not followed it was illegal according to UK law.
What about Czech law?
Of course stealing our money is not on! But then the UK paras are not bound by Czech law... 🙂

I'm not clear on what happened in the Czech Republic as I only started elife a few days ago. What I can say however is that in the current diplomatic climate I think the eUK would do well to keep the friends it has.

@Hammybear: Judging by the diplomatic tone eUK president Sara Droz seems to be setting, there is a significant chance that they will pay the additional 80 gold. Their economy is easily strong enough to allow it.
@Zumbum: Basically, eUK citizens came to the Czech Rep. and were elected to congress. They gained enough seats that they were able to pass a resolution to donate a bunch of the governments money out of the country. This is called a Hostile PTO, and is a favorite tactic of many PEACE nations; this is why it's so surprising that an ATLANTIS member as prominent as the eUK would do such a thing.

Unfortunatly It's the aim of every aspiring 'Empire' to take control of those who befriend them 🙂
every great leader knows to keep friends closest and ennimes closer, when a false sense of trust is gained, BANG 😉
However it seems that we're really touched by the fact an abundance of countries would see it as wrong or power gaining if we did infact intend to keep the gold 🙂
Relations are a funny thing aren't they? Especialy when every country are out to be the best (after all what's a polital/war strayegy simulation game without a goal to head for: World domination anyone? )
Suprisingly we've lasted this long under the term "alliance" with many countries, is it fear? Does the almighty Great Britiain suffer from fear 🙂?
It's pointless to think any country is under the influance of a happy-go-lucky attitude, (this IS a game isn't it?) We, after all, aspire to be the best 🙂 (Rank 1: eUK [Congress: YAY!] Results?)

Although I am congress for the North-West, it saddens me to see the world torn apart by the deep hostility within every leaders secret chambers at the bottom of their heart.
Could I equally say: we're using our allies to get where we want?
