[UKRP] Snow on the roof, fire in the fireplace

Day 945, 23:45 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Arthur Wellesley

Ladies and Gentlemen of London, my name is Sir Arthur Wellesley and I am standing to become one of your next Members of Parliament under the United Kingdom Reform Party.

I’d like to take some time to introduce myself to those of you that do not know me. I’ve been a member of the eUnited Kingdom for over a year now. I began my political career in the UKRP many moons ago when JerryGFL was Prime Minister. Many holdouts from those old days will remember the volatile time that was. A bankrupt country, a missing Prime Minister… it was taxing. I soon became a very active member of the community. I was a Member of Parliament for three terms in Wales, as well as a long serving Party President of the UKRP. I also founded the Free Democratic Party,, which is now sadly defunct. Furthermore, I was one of our longest serving and most active Lords until the House of Lords was disbanded. Finally, it is worth noting that I am, to date, the longest serving Minister of Finance/Chancellor of the Exchequer in the history of the eUK. I have also been fortunate enough to have been awarded an MBE.

What can you expect from me if I am elected to Parliament?

Experience: I have been around a long time. In short, I’ve been there, done that, and gotten the t-shirt. I may not be the most glitzy old timer around, but I’ve got just as much experience as any one of them. Maybe even more. I’ve seen the heights of political success and the lows of failure, and I’ve learned a lot.

Expertise: I have been part of a great many initiatives. From my efforts to redress imbalances in our currency to private charity organizations like the old Community Action Program, you can be assured that I am up to the task, no matter what that task may be.

Commitment: After a much needed semi-retirement, I am ready to join my partners at the United Kingdom Reform Party in helping represent you. If I am fortunate enough to become one of the MPs for London, it will be a priority of mine to represent my constituents in the best way that I can through active debate and legislative work, as well as offering my in-box to any constituent that would like my help.

I appreciate you reading my manifesto, and I hope that you vote for me on the 25th.
