[ORION] Damage Report March #1 + Interview with Dutch CP

Day 4,123, 00:51 Published in Israel Portugal by Orion HQ

Greetings,

we bring you another damage report for first week of March.

First we will look at Top Damage in all Divisions. Nothing new there, lower divisions are still mostly dominated by Cubans and Israelis, though Estonia and Netherlands managed to score well in D3 too. Mixliarder has won another round in D4, however Israel has the most players in TOP10 as well.

In the Air, Cuban pilots managed to take the win this time and overall, Cuba has performed very strong in the Air this week

And now the Total Damage in Tank and Air. Estonia managed to secure victory on the Ground, while Cuba and Canada continue to battle for second place. In the Air, Cuba is dominant, with Canada confirming their second place from last week.

In the "damage per capita" category, both Estonia and Cuba perform well above the ORION average in both categories, while Canada is sneaking on third position in the Aerial damage.

And now, we bring you a special interview with outgoing Dutch President Shawtyl0w, who will tell us more about himself and his view on Orion 🙂 .

1. Tell us about yourself.

Dear reader, I’m Shawtyl0w you may also call me Jasper. I’m 26 years old and recently graduated from Tilburg University where I followed a master study in Marketing Management. I’ve lived abroad for over a year living in Taiwan and the United Kingdom. I also have a bachelor in International Business Management Studies. I would like to consider myself a citizen of the earth but in eRepublik I represent the Netherlands. I enjoy travelling, sports, playing games with friends and a good beer once in a while (maybe you could get me one???).

2. How did you come to be President for this month?

The political well of the Netherlands is almost dried out. This has been the case for a long time now. Luckily there are some dedicated players who still invest time and effort in running our government. This specific term my political party wanted to have a presidential candidate but no one had much time to run. I applied for the job after some stimulation from my fellow party members. Ever since I graduated from university I have some extra time on my hands and this month I felt like running for president was a good thing for me to do. I did not have any opposing candidates to run against which made the presidential elections dull yet I believe I have the support of the majority of our citizens.

3. Any big plans for your country?

Like nearly every other country governments in the Netherlands have always focussed on improving their citizen’s damage output in aerial battles. This term I finally wanted to do something to stimulate our tanks when it comes to doing ground damage. They had simply been forgotten and it is time to change that. That’s why I am introducing a program that stimulates ground soldiers who are kind of strong to do more than 1,000,000,000 (1bn) damage every week. This program is created to increase the number of legends in our country.

4. What are your thoughts and feelings about Orion?

Orion is an alliance created by friends based on friendship and brotherhood. I feel like our politicians especially those who have been members of the Orion Headquarters have a very good and strong relationship. Sadly we have lost some friends to larger and stronger alliance. Those who remained, (Canada and the Netherlands) made new friendships and now also call the likes of Cuba, Estonia and Israel brothers. I think this alliance is one of friends who would come to ones aid in tie of need but also a group of countries that strongly respect our other allies.
Hail Orion!

5. In your opinion, what is Orion’s best attribute?

In my opinion that would be that as a group of smaller countries we are familiar with the struggles we all face. We tend to stick together when needed and offer military support when needed. The group of active politicians in Orion HQ and the telegram groups we use to communicate also offer some great advantages as there is always someone else online to help you out if you are in need of assistance.

6. Does Orion have a realistic place on the world-stage?

Realistically our alliance will not be able to do much damage to the countries that in fact determine what our world map looks like. However our alliance is active in training wars which supply fighters with gold. Other than that I do believe that we as an alliance are able to help allies fight against stronger opponents by draining energy of enemy fighters. This can be done by directly fighting for our allies or declaring war against their enemies (e.g. through airstrike). From an economic perspective Canada does have a role in the world-stage after they secured some valuable resources that are being rented out to countries such as Serbia and Romania in order to provide their citizens with maximum production bonusses.

7. Which country that is not already part of Orion do you think would make a good fit in the alliance?

There are several countries that could potentially be a good fit with Orion. However individual grudges between politicians might cause some unexpected problems. Most former alliance members (e.g. Sweden, Colombia and France)
would surely fit the alliance as would other countries who are of medium country strength (e.g. Finland).

8. Do you have any ideas that you would like to see Orion implement in the near or distant future?

We’ve been discussing a possible Orion MU for months (on and off) but it was never materialised. Currently the idea of an Orion MU has been mentioned again and some ideas that would benefit fighters are being explored. We’ll see where that goes. Orion wide strikes would be another thing to be implemented as a way of training coordinated attacks.

9. Any final remarks?

Mann551 should be crowned lord and emperor of the Onion Alliance. I’d like to thank my family and friends for their help in keeping Orion great! We are a brotherhood of international politicians and warriors. Also I’d like that beer now.

And this is all from today's report. We hope to see you soon in the next article!

Yours
