[MP4BestPCPCP] One More Time
Mad Pauly
It's been an interesting first term for me, so much so that I wanna do it again. Just one more time though, cos a month is too short to get anything serious done and I'll have had enough after two terms.
So let's have a look at the highlights (and low points) of my term.
- Brought us out of an alliance which offered little that a nice set of MPPs couldn't offer
- Gave us lots of fighting to do, including an awesome (and sleep-depriving) MTO attempt
- Successfully negotiated the removal of Latvia
- Successfully negotiated training wars with the US and, after much negotiating and bad Spanish translations, Colombia
- Yeah, there was that whole wipe thing, but I'll blame Roachford for that
- And yeah, there's that whole not being able to work thing
- And yeah, there was that whole Yorkshire and Humberside thing too, but hey, those combat orders were crazy, right?
😉
- And yeah, that whole MTO attempt thing
- Unfortunately my idea of a relocation loan proved too costly, and had to be canned. However, there may be other avenues for this, and I'm working on something so if you're stuck in a war zone, or plonked your factories down in somewhere crap like Wales, do not despair yet!
- The Ministry of Banter never really got anywhere, so that will go on the back burner for now. Perhaps one of my successors will take the idea and run with it.
- Frustration with the apparent lack of movement regarding the occupation. Yes, I know it took a while, but Colombia are finally cooperating.
- Apparent lack of debate time. Sorry, but I like things done, and I tend to like them done quickly. Even under the Constitutional Monarchy, laws only had 24 hours debate and 24 hours voting. I gave 48 hours for debate before pressing the button, so 72 hours total to make up your minds.
So what to expect from a second term?
With two training wars, there's plenty of opportunity to win medals (and the cold, hard cash that comes with them).
I'm hoping to consolidate the strong relationships with our allies, as well as improving links with older friends. While this will not mean a sudden influx of new MPPs (our training war with America precludes that), it will provide for the security of our nation.
I have other ideas, but if I revealed everything it wouldn't be fun, now, would it?
I have several names in mind, some who have served in my first term. Should you wish to serve in my Government in some capacity, my door is open. Except when I'm asleep. Or out. Or not paying attention. Or chasing the red dot.

OK, if the images don't work this time, I think I'll go for a long walk off the end of a pier... 😉
say hi to the fish
Bleh, you're kidding me, right? 🙁
who knows 😛
Voted and endorsed
habla cypriot? jajaja : (
Je hablo nichts il forig 😉
omelette du fromage ?
Yes!
And Ministry of Banter, well, no one asked me to do an article. Just had to ask like the government did in the Latvia case...
Problem with Banter, is that there is a time and a place for it.
I am so depressed
One comment, well done as CP. Complimenti.
It is nice working with you! D9 may rather see you jump off that pier if I don't leave UK for eBE 😉
Good luck with the CP race
jamesw reckons he'll pay me 50k to vote for him, what you offering?
And this, ladies and gents, is why you shouldn't vote for jamesw, cos he's a corrupt leader! 😉

I really need Jeremy's opinion before I decide.
Yeah, and you did drag us into this wipe without an alliance vote. Maybe comgress voted on it but if so we went in without backup....
No, sorry you f&*(ked up and so no vote for the next attempt..
Bring back the Gorilla.
Can't please everyone all of the time. It was an overwhelming vote though. 37 for, 3 against. Not every day all of congress turns out to vote...
If I correctly understand what you're saying, then your grievances should be with me as it was me who as CP dragged us into the wipe by USA and co without official backing from Orion (mind you, this was pretty much in my manifest, so if the UK didn't want it, they could've voted for Wingfield). Honestly, although Pauly likes to mention pressing the shiny button often, he was only the 3rd by importance of setting the whole thing up. 😛
"there was that whole wipe thing, but I'll blame Roachford for that"
I'll accept that but will feel a little guilty for taking all the credit.
I say stack up in London and fight like F**k to keep it. These intransigent Colombians are taking the piss......
lets go and sh*t on thier doorstep 🙂 sorry "train" on their turf for a change. They don't seem to have much of it 😉
I understand the frustrations of those in regions who cannot work. It's taken long enough to get this far, with language barriers slowing things down tremendously. Having a TW on someone else's turf would be nice, but we're in no position to ask for that, unless you want to stomp up a few million in COs to force something.
ok thx for the background info. i have now moved my residence to Leeds where i do get a bonus on production. I have played a long time but not had the time to explore the details of the game. my bad. cheers and thx for your efforts
Starting the training war without having a plan in place to release our production regions was disappointing.
Not really sure how involved you were in defeating the MTO - the most pivotal rounds took place while you were asleep and MoDs were offline.
It's all sorted out now, I can even work my factories, but I'm not sure I can give your term an 8/10 even with ample cats...
After the failed attempt to liberate Y&H, together with Colombia getting the initiative for NE, there wasn't much choice in the matter. Plans had to be formulated quickly and on the fly after that.
And yes, sorry for not being up for another lord knows how many hours after 22 hours with no sleep. I'm not 18 any more and pulling all-nighters isn't something that's in my arsenal nowadays. I do like to sleep sometimes.
I wasn't criticising you for sleeping through part of the battle - real life should always take precedence over a game - but wanted to point out that most of the credit for defeating the MTO lay with other people. Just in case other people who weren't online at that time were unaware.
If you look, I never took any credit for it. It just happened to be a highlight of my term. The real heroes were our allies, who fought in huge numbers and threw a lot of CC at the battle, for which I am eternally grateful.
If you wrote it as a highlight in a CP end of term article I'd see your point, but when you put it in a re=election article it takes on another meaning: the MTO win becomes supporting evidence for the point of the article (which I assume is "Mad Pauly should be re-elected as CP").
Anyway, I've said what I had to say. Good luck with the election.
Hmmm no mention of Ireland.
Looks like I'll have to reinvade you next term.
Aw, sorry, my bad. Truth of it was, your invasion (and departure) was so nice and friendly that putting it in the "bad" side didn't seem fair... 😉
