[MoE] Media Crisis... Humble Request

Hmm… It is somewhat of a disconcerting feeling to log in and find a dearth of articles in the media. Now sly Chopp has slipped the responsibility to me. So I want to fix this issue.

I have always liked media and I am a bit averse to compulsive clicking.

Populating our media isn’t an insoluble difficulty. There are many ways and reasons to do it.

Media is a collective responsibility. I might be delegated the duty, but I’ll only go half way because it is counterproductive to the spirit of team building to do otherwise.

Now, I need you to help me with solutions.

I know you can all write. I’ve seen it in the contest. But what I can’t do, is to force the citizenry to write because it just might not be their thing.

However, a good government will write regular updates. People will get bored if they don’t know wtf is going on. Media is a very good way to bring a country together and motivate its citizens into playing like a cohesive unit. Words are powerful.

It is a new government, so I would like to cut them some slack… for a short while.

Consider this article as a humble request for updates. It is due.

I know you guys work hard but…

“If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?”
Best case: I see a surge of articles from everybody including the government.

Average case: Government update-articles from various departments.

Worst case: The current disconcerting situation.

I can’t do with worst case scenarios and I will not bleat on about a lack of participation either.
I’ve two short term solutions and they are not real solutions.

1. I’ll write the articles myself. I’ll make sure there are 5 articles in the media at any point in time. You will have to just bear the verbal detritus.

2. I’ll hold an article-writing contest and make it fun.
What I really want however is…

You express your opinions
You demand answers
You communicate with your team members
You support each other
You have fun doing it for Team Canada
