Join the new world

Mere hours after Huey's election victory, we awoke to find eUK a very different place. The original proposal of handing the dictatorship over to the duly elected President had been ignored, forgotten or rejected and we find ourselves under the dictatorship of Wayne in what is proving to be one of the most divisive and controversial of events since the new module was released.



While I have the utmost respect for an elder statesman such as Huey, it appears that it was his choice of cabinet that led to his ultimate downfall. Putting a relative unknown as Minister of Defense - one of, if not the most important positions in Cabinet, saw a backlash against Huey and Wayne taking up the mantle of leader - but was it, as some might suspect, with the full backing of the Dental Corps, or the actions of an individual?

Wayne has many vocal critics, that is true; but I am of the firm belief that what he did was for the good of the country. Sure, he's trolled us before - who could forget Wayne's Awesome Ninjas, K? during those chaotic times following the most recent departure of Alfagrem had left something of a power vacuum in UKPP, but this time it would appear to be no troll. "Why?" I hear you ask. Because this time, Wayne has reached out to people of all parties, all leanings, to suggest ways to make eUK a true player on the world stage.



This has led to more input than the whole of last month's Congress in only a matter of days. Suggestions have been put forward, such as restructuring of the NHS, new immigration rules and consolidation of the myriad of MUs. Even the Welcome Message is being considered for change. This "Shadow Congress" is active and working to put together plans to bring the best and brightest to the country and make us truly great.



Without stopping to consider that this "Secret Cabal" might actually be working for the benefit of the nation, some people have already slated this new government without actually knowing what's going on. Even our old friend BigAnt popped up, threatening offering to restore "democracy" before being shot down in flames told politely that his "help" was not wanted or needed.

So what now?

We stop, take stock of the situation and see what the Shadow Congress comes up with. It's certainly been more active than the elected Congress so far, and has come out with some astute ideas. How long it shall be before this is all revealed to the public remains to be seen, though already we have seen some leaks that give ideas as to what the Shadow Congress is working towards.
