【jw】Everything else: a masterplan for next month

Day 3,726, 21:01 Published in United Kingdom France by Hell The Great

This is the third article I've released outlining what I hope to achieve next month. You can view my announcement article, here, and my domestics plans here.

In my previous article I announced funding for parties and MUs to up their game. As well as the basic funding based on membership retention and growth, Military Units will also be given bonus funding based on damage growth, damage in air battles and strike attendance. Air battle rewards will be paid daily, with damage growth and strike attendance rewards paid weekly. The focus of these rewards is firstly to encourage the focused growth of our soldiers and increase of supplies, but also encourage mobile strikes, organization of damage and foster a renewed interest in changing the fate of battles. These days, a group of 10 people hitting at the same time can really change the course of a battle: countries as small as us are no longer just fighting for shits and giggles: we can make a difference. Such funding will not change things over night, but my hope is a continued push on parties and Military Units will stimulate activity on the battlefield, and thus increase retention of members both old and new.

Rewards for Air battle damage will be based on a Military Units position on the weekly leaderboard, taken on a daily basis.

- 150 GBP per member will be given to the top placed Military Unit
- 50 GBP per member GBP will be given to the second placed Military Unit
- 25 GBP per member GBP will be given to the third placed Military Unit

Rewards for damage growth will be based on a Military Unit's damage when compared with the previous week.

- 300 GBP per member will be given to the Military Unit with the highest improvement in damage output (not including air battles)
- 100 GBP per member will be given to the Military Unit with the second highest improvement in damage output (not including air battles)
- 50 GBP per member will be given to the Military Unit with the third highest improvement in damage output (not including air battles)

Rewards for strike attendance will be based on the number of troops who take part in either a Government organized strike, or a strike organized by their MU.
Note: A member can take part in an unlimited amount of strikes per week, but the reward will be paid per member, not per strike attendance

- 500 GBP per member will be given to the Military Unit with the highest number of strike attendances
- 175 GBP per member will be given to the Military Unit with the second highest number of strike attendances
- 100 GBP per member will be given to the Military Unit with the third highest number of strike attendances

The funding provided by Government can be used at the sole discretion of an MU commander: whilst I would recommend it is used to invest in companies to increase the supplies an MU can provide to it's soldiers, or on the purchaes of food or weapons to reward soldiers, ultimately, as long as this money isn't used against the UK or its interests, commanders can spend it as and how they please. Based on our current income, I have allowed for a relatively huge underspend of our tax income, but should costs prove below expectation, these rewards will be increased to further entice activity.

In relation to Foreign Affairs, which is the only real part of Government I haven't talked about yet, I want to make a clear and concise statement. We have been pro-Asteria for a long time. Despite our vote to leave Orion, we were, are, and will continue to be a nation which considers itself aligned to Asteria. We are open to better relations with any country which will work with us, but this cannot, and will not, override our main focus: to build even stronger relations with some of our oldest allies in the game, who are almost universally in, or pro, Asteria. I've spent hours laying in the ground work for further improvements in our relations this month, and will continue to do my best to improve this further next month.

Finally, and most importantly, I am until now, yet to receive a single offer of help from any person, in any party, for any position at all. I have actively got in touch with people to fill my cabinet, but there are positions that I have yet to fill. People interested in getting involved, should message me so I can find a place for you. In every single CP term I have served, I have managed to have at least two new faces in government, in some form. Most of these people went on to become a long serving minister, or in most cases, a future CP. I don't like to blow my horn much, but I know what I'm doing, and I'll explain my methodology, my reasoning and my logic to you at every step of the way. You'll not just be helping the UK, you'll come into contact with everything you need to be a pretty dapper President yourself. So be selfless and volunteer to help the UK, or be selfish and get everything you need to be CP yourself. I'm not fussed either way.
