Day 3,814, 07:28 Published in United Kingdom France by Hell The Great

Friends, alfagrems, mad paulys. I’m pleased to announce that I will be running for president once again this election with the support of TUP and UKRP (to date). My premiership for the past few months has seen the rocking boat stabilised, a fuzzy outlook cleared up, and a perilous international theatre navigated somewhat successfully.

Our damage, income, reputation, population, engagement and international position have all steadily increased over the last few months, but whilst we can all be proud of what we have achieved together, the path ahead remains treacherous.

Friends, what we have to do this month is to build on these strong foundations and work to re-establish ourselves in the world. We need to finalise and publish our new national tutorial, which I have been working on this month. We need to solidify relations with our closest allies, and work with them to achieve military goals which are important both strategically, and for our own enjoyment. We need to work harder to reach new citizens. For those who retain interest in the game, use air rank to show them they can become useful troops; for those who do not, we need to give them the impetus to stay and be part of the community, which we all know is for most of us, the only thing that keeps us coming back.

Alfagrems, over the past few months I have worked hard to cover as much of this as I can myself. This month I covered the Minister of Foreign Affairs role as well as being President, and last month I did a lot of work with new player retention. Continuing this theme in the coming month I plan to focus on our military strategy and how to improve the systems we have in place to direct and manage damage output. The UK’s damage has doubled in these last few months, and our military activity has skyrocketed. This month I hope to do more coordinated strikes, focus again on our air damage where our new players can really make a difference, and ensure good cooperation between our older stronger players so that we can really be noticed by our allies on the battlefield.

Mad paulys, we have been lucky enough these past months to have an excellent core team of ministers and government officials willing to put in the hours to help me achieve my manifesto promises. As grateful as I am for the work everyone has done so far, this is only the beginning. To really finish this mission we will need more players moving up through the ranks into the ministries, learning the ropes and taking over to give some of our older players a rest. This month I will aim to appoint an under-Minister in each ministry who will share the role and learn everything there is to know about it. Next month we can then reverse those roles, and keep the old minister as an advisor whilst the newer players try their hand at government. They can then have under ministers themselves. This process of cycling players through roles is not without risks, but it will help develop that core of competent players the UK desperately needs.

Next month will mark the end of a three month cycle of improvement for the eUK. By the end of it we will have everything in place to make the next big jump - to take our country to the next level of activity. With an effective directed set of military units, a well educated and involved population, and strong international ties we are excellently positioned to rise to the next tier in the world of international relations. Whilst we will never be in the same category as Serbia or Romania, we can catch up with other, similarly sized countries who currently have an edge on us due to being better organised and more active. By the end of next month we will be in a position to be far more ambitious, to stretch ourselves and make goals that not long ago would have been pure fantasy. With your help, and that of our allies around the world, I will make that happen.

So today, I come to you to ask for your support, your vote, and for your commitment to this ambition. Over the coming days I will write in further detail about my plans for the month, and about how you- as citizens of the eUK- can help drive this country forward. Together we can make this ship sound again.
