I did something nine months ago. No, not something resulting in a pregnancy, it was much less romantic than that. I wrote a petition about implementing citizenship in eRepublik.
Have you heard it before?

Dear Gamedevelopers,
I think you should implement Citzenship so that people can't go from their designated home country to another and Vote there, but still be able to travel to another country and vote in their home country. Just as in real life.
We should be able to change citizenship by applying for a new one (this could even cost 2 gold and make you rich! Or as Hiddencrypt suggested, the fee could be set by the Congress - might be even better) and then it would take 30 days of living in the new country until you got the new citizenship for that country.
Erepublik is at the moment designed to be military stable and politically unstable. With the implemention of Citizenship you would make it more politically stable. A game that is both Military Stable and Politically Stable is however not a very fun game to play, so you should lower the Wall points with 2/3'rds or boost the 'damage' points with 300 per cent do fix that.
A game that is politically stable and military unstable has a good chance of beeing fun, just like Risk and Civilization.

Now when the Game Developers have started talking about Citizenship I can't help thinking of Haeckel's first step picture.
So what will Citizenship in eRepublik be like - it starts out very similar with ideas.
- Will it be the fishy so big fishes will continue to eat smaller fishes?
- Will it take a frog leap into something new and unexpected?
- Will it create a turtle mode where citizens and countries hides under their shells?
- Will it be buggy and we will see lots of headless chickens running around like, you got it, headless chickens?
- Or will it be a baby we all can be proud of?

Bad idea. Few people actually buy GOLD. New people typically start out with 50-100 of their country\'s currency. When GOLD stops flowing into the market at the same rate as currency, due to lack of buying and old accounts with GOLD getting banned, while money continues to pour in, what happens? Inflation.

Again bad. New people should have just as much say as older people in elections. Multiaccounts have never successfully won an election any way, every time it\'s happened the admins have found out and corrected it within a few days of the election.
Few people are buying gold because it has no value in a game where tons and tons of people gets it for free by creating multi accounts. Why would anyone spend 10€ on 20 Gold when players like Nevugila donates 2000 Gold like it was \'given-out-candy\'. If inflation is what you fear - well give out gold to the current players just like they give out invitations, 5-10 golds per month to the current players.
If the developers would do somthing to prevent the multi account problem they could perhaps spend the time they now are spending on chasing multi accounters on developing this game instead. Perhaps give us a war module that isn\'t a series of bugs ending with a coin flip?
But that\'s the thing, multi-accounts aren\'t really a problem. When vast sums of money are being exchanged between week-old accounts or someone no one has ever heard of wins an election there\'s always a red flag or two raised on the forums and the admins take care of the problem. I honestly don\'t think too much of them, but I will give the admins one thing: they handle multiaccounters nicely.
Besides, we don\'t even know why Nevugila was banned in the first place. Multiaccounting isn\'t the only bannable offense in the game, after all. But I do agree with you, we need an overhaul of the war module.

Now those of you who feels that you have recieved unfair gold from Nevugila are here by encouraged to give it to me. I\'ll try to further distrebute it to Melissa. Its a promise..

There are red flags raised every day and the admins works hard to close down multi accounts. If there wouldn\'t be a systematic faileure in the concept there wouldn\'t be so many multi accounts and the admins could focus on other tasks.
It\'s poor resource management by ERPK to keep sticking to a system that creates tons of un-necessary work. They want to attract more people to play this game - well fine so do I but it has a lousy rumour of beeing flooded by multi accounts and that scares serious people away from even testing it out.
If the game is good then people will invite others regardless of the gold. If the game is good then people will start to play it and continue to play it.
We never had an audit or explanation of the highly suspicious mayoral elections in Turkey. I understand that an outside forum team was accused of \'zerging\' with fraudulent accounts, but they were cleared. The elections results were obviously manipulated at the end; I wish we had received a clean bill of health for them as well. There are very strong feelings in Turkey now and likely neither of the two opposing large factions believe the other side capable of honest dealings.

We can be happy that the multis are at least detected sometime.

If his SO-accounts are still in play Admins are naive as hell! All the cheat gold has been invested in those accounts. He have been giving unreasonable high pays to people, just to exstract the products out of the country. He has hurt Swedens economy so bad that people dont really realize on what scale.

I think there would be a law proposal on how long you have to stay in a country before you can vote, that also goes for if you have moved to another country... or a law proposal maybe could cause some damage but atleast that it takes a while before you could vote, 30 days is to much but maybe a week or so.

I just moved back to sweden from norway (tired of the fish).
Was unable to vote since i had lived in sweden for less than 10 days.
No idea if it applys to new accounts but atleast now you cant move to another country the day before an election.
