Interviewing an old friend of the eNetherlands - Clorofila

Day 5,252, 14:03 Published in Netherlands Poland by Shawtyl0w

Dear readers,

I've got a spectacular read for you! Please allow me to introduce,

Clorofila, Cloro, Carmen,

I miss you from time to time. You have such a big heart. Could you tell our readers what it is about the erepublik community that gives you the most satisfaction?
Yeah, most of the people here know my real name: Carmen.
Thanks, my darling. I miss you too, our nice talks on Telegram App, particularly.
My heart has a compassive nature and has been an issue sometimes. I am a Baptist Christian so I have to be merciful and considerate with people for my faith. That made me suffer and exposed me a lot, the ones that matter to me remain close and we talk frequently, but, in time, I learned to kick away those who are toxic, manipulative or cruel (in the game an IRL too). I forgive but not forget, in order to be cautious.

Talking about satisfaction… I find a lot of joy when I meet people related or working in any field of Arts. Sometimes you can exchange experiences and start a joint project with some players here, in music especially. I composed and created some stuff with B O R D O, Yanisin, Kel Ryuran, PlasticAlley, Hellscream Garrosh, the former Silent Night, to name a few.

Apart from that I enjoy talking to people and knowing about their countries, daily lives, and their culture. It’s so amazing and revealing. furthermore I adore some witty comments in the feeds, the crazy chain of answers with smart ideas and amusing remarks. The game itself has lost sense and is all like …humdrum.

You are a singer, recently shared that you're composing a new song. Can you tell me what it is about?
Yes I am mainly a singer, but a above all I’m a music composer who plays several instruments too (not like a virtuoso, but I do my thing).
The song you mentioned is called “un domingo cualquiera” which means “whatever Sunday” or “any Sunday”. The lyrics are quite poetic, oneiric, somehow. But basically talks about being fed up with wasted relationships, certain routine lifestyle. It encourages to wake up and try different, looking for simple meaningful things, not just the big projects.

One verse says;

Dream,
your gods are on time
desires turn into salt
Sing,
out of phase with thousand voices
the clock ticks time backwards.

The chorus says something like this

You're going to explode on any given Sunday
you're going to miss me and I know why
you will vibrate if you remove the barriers
there is no going back if you go back to the pile.

In Spanish, obviously, it sounds really great haha.

You've traveled the eWorld and have stayed in many countries for a longer period of time. When you were in eNetherlands you were eMarried. What happened?
Yes, my eHusband was Mrischmasch. He is not himself anymore, if you know what I mean. The new guy was very nice but we didn't have the same connection to keep the bond ingame 😉.

Are there any suitors right now trying to get close to you?
Yes, there are, but I don’t have any knowledge of them or any kind of relation, we hardly talk.
Friendship is the key. I like that my eHusbands have some kind of conversation from time to time, if not often.
I would like to add, for me, eMatrimony has nothing to do with RL love or anything like an internet love relationship. I am a romantic woman but not such a dreamer or thoughtless type. I consider myself a pretty down-to-earth person whether you believe it or not.
I have a special weakness for efiljo II: He and I are quite good friends outside the game, I’d dare say. He doesn’t play anymore, or is connected like he used to be. We talk more on other social webs, than in eR.

What is your favourite eCountry? And why?
My fav now is Czech Republic. They made me feel like home here. That is why I have stayed and established. I finally settled down.

People here are very warm and they let you know immediately when they support you or when they are against you. They have a high sense of survival and we have gone through some edgy moments when we believed we would be under the risk of a PTO or MTO recently. We acted together and warned some country- friends to help us, just in case.

In general, and in hindsight, I am extremely grateful to all countries that, in time, made room for me in a political activity among them. Like you did in the Netherlands, Shaw. I value your trust and friendship.(I'm awesome)
I had the privilege to be in various honorable roles in alliances, to be part of governments, to help friends to regain territories and when I was able I even helped economically, despite I am not powerful like I used to be. For all my deeds and ways, some players respect me a lot, others just despise me or disrespect me because they can do it by this means with no regrets or consideration. I focus on those with whom we can talk about things that matter: life, family, pets, work, health, music, hobbies, etc.

If you could go back in time and change one event in erepublik what would you change?
I would go back to V1 with some changes. I would make changes so that people who start the game can progress faster than the oldies while the oldiers progress in more areas of interest (doing some diversity in the existing modules or creating new ones), in a way that the more you stay in the game, more new challenges or missions you must fulfill. Also I would remove Maverick and some useless packs.

Can you tell me a joke about Plato and forfeit points?
Well I was a game moderator ages ago. I endured 5 months and I was out. I think the whole system is a bad joke and there is no justice when you find true abuse or cyberstalking or real moonstrucks. The basic laws have no fair impact to judge bad attitudes or real issues in the game.

I’ve had a forfeit point for complaining about some players and I named them by the nationality, they considered discrimination and racism… It was really fun, coming from Plato.

After a certain point I decided to stop financing this game with my Visa Card. I play differently now.

I want to thank you Shaw, some interviews, like this one, need to be about other things than the hits, the plots, and the alliances of the game or the complaints about what the game is not and won’t be any longer.

To end this interview, I want to thank you again, for helping me in the memorial’s article for Attila The Hun II, not long ago. He was so lovely and embodied the type of player you wish to bump into every time you can. It would be great if I meet more people like him. I miss him dearly.

Big hug,
CLORA
