Help requested for funding of Q5 Hospital in Brussels

Soon Dutch Hospitals will finish its next Q5 hospital. As agreed upon on the governmental program we are aiming to build this hospital in the southern provinces of the United Netherlands. Building a second Q5 hospital in the United Netherlands will lower our vulnerability in case of a military attack on our homeland and increase the unity of our country. A Q5 hospital is expensive, it costs around 300gold and the government has not all the finances needed to purchase this hospital without help of our population. Therefore was agreed in the governmental program that a donation among the people of the United Netherlands would be started for the funds needed for this purchase. The hospital will placed in Brussels because of its strategical advantage for being completly surrounded by the United Netherlands and therefore save for a first wave of attackes in case of war.
So for the purpose of purchasing a Q5 hospital in Brussels, the government calls on the people of the United Netherlands for their support, we prefer gold, but any other currency will gladly be accepted. i propose that all the new congresman give the 5 gold .... so 40*5 = 200gold

How much will you donate than? It is very strange that the congressman have to pay for 66% of the total costs... It's better to say that % of level 16 and higher players have to pay a sum of money/gold.
Blaming everything on the congressman is just strange and only tells me that you do not want to donate, but want to have the benefits.
if i'm elected i will give 5gold. The 5gold are the gold that you receive for your election.

Other possibility. Buy a lower grade and used the goldincome when selling the Q5 for alliances and trainingwars.
question, there's a new vote going on transferring 10.000 NLD to a state account. Will that money be used for the hospital?
@Peter Green, that money is used for the wages that are used by OE_Volksgezondheid.
and much moeny are you loosing each month then?

@Peter Green, this money is needed in the state companies that are under OE_Volksgezondheid and can be seen as an investment. The money is returned (in gold) with e.g. the sale of a Q5 hospital.

@ Mighty Sigh, this money is reserved to return to the people that we borrowed money from. We borrowed money a while ago to make ourselves 2 Q3 wood companies, furthermore there is gold in that org to buy wood / pay wages, to make sure our hospital company will have a steady flow of wood.

@ Peter Green, We'll we cant give you the hard numbers, since when we provide them openly our chances of making any profit on future hospitals will be gone. A hospital takes 10.000 units of wood, so with a average price of 0.01 gold per unit, you can calculate that at least 100 golds are the costs for the wood, then there are salaries and gifts that need to be payed, of which i cant give you the numbers, as stated above.
Furthermore we are only losing money on the training companies, the rest of the money we need is because of the small markets, and thus our products not selling. Closing the companies of which the stock's are rising will make sure that our economy will crash even further due to extra employee's on the market, and thus lower wages for those employee's.
Reasons against placing a Q5 hospital in Brussels:
It is not safe there because it is not protected by MPP's.
It cost much gold, better spend it to other things.
You could buy 5 mpp's for the same hospital. (30 gold per MPP, but both countries pay them) but this MPP's are lost after 1 month. Also MPP's are maybe not activated.
The hospital will stay hopefully 10 months. All inhabitants of this region can fight in the trainingswars. Also we can presume citizens from the Flemish and Walloon region will move to Brussels. I think because of real life reasons they stay in our three southern regions. When the hospital is built it will give more experience and wellness for them and higher production. The experience will give more gold, the fights more ranking so our army will become stronger.
It will save moving tickets and wellness because people will not travel between North and Brussels.
Also when we would have a war and we are invaded in region North our only hospital of Q5 will be lost. If we have a second one, we have more chances.
It will contribute to the unity of our country and the votes will be better spread over the regions.
If placed and people donated for the hospital it will give also a stronger commitment to our nation. You will not leave easily the nation to which you contributed in money.
And my last point as prime minister of the United Netherlands: The congress approved this government with overwhelming majority and in the program is stated to start donation for placing a Q5 hospital in Brussels and that we want a hospital there. If we will not realise this promise it will be very bad for democracy.
So let us donate and realise this promise to improve our nation! 300 gold is less than 1.5 gold for every citizen that voted in the last election.

I donated 2 gold! Kixtart I read ur post but i feel you are missing the point concerning the union. It easy to say everyone needs to feel like this is one country but if we dont act on it people will never feel that way.

Sell this and use the money to fight. We need more power for our small country.
Jip, yes it's one country so we don't need to look at what was NL and what was BE, but just look at the tactical advantages, so we don't trow gold away.
An idea perhaps: sell q4 and put there the q5. Lots of money to fight and train and 2 q5. Everybody happy.

Well if the congress didn't wanted a Q5 hospital in Brussels region, they shouldn't have voted in approval of the vote of confidence.
@ flapoor, how sell a Q4, we dont have any Q4 companies. And when placing a hospital, the previous hospital in that region is lost.

I do not see that it would be more efficient to destroy a Q3 hospital in East or South to place a Q5 hospital there. Both regions are at the border (just like North). Brussels and West are surrounded by our own regions. And because West has Q4 a second Q5 is best placed in Brussels. Only MPP will not protect the three southern regions. I do not think we will attacked soon and we will get help from Peace. So the risk is rather low and many citizens will be happy. The best choice is Brussels for a second Q5 hospital and so we start to get donations and a lot is there already. 🙂

The only problem players ever had with a hospital in one of the 3 non-original regions is the lack of MPP protection.
Lol, a vote of confidence is instantly an agreement on every small subsection of the program? When I have confidence then it doesn't mean that every point in the program is agreed. In the period of that government the minister must make a detailled plan & estimation of costs so that the congres can vote for that.
Furthermore in the program:
"We will hold referenda on issues that are easy to decide by referendum, such as where a hospital will be placed or in what alliance we want to be."
I would like to give some gold but not for this.
We are 1 country so they can just move to North-Netherland.
If the belgium people want a hospital in their own country, what isn't smart because of the MMP's they can pay it by their own.
I just think 1 Q5 hospital is enough.
+1 Kixtart, this vote for confidence doesn't mean the whole congress approves with everything in the program, they only say that they are confident that this government will do fine. there still has to be voted on everything. Otherwise we could just vote once for the confidence and then just dismantle the congress... An option but I dont think a lot of people will agree... but please dont start about the congress approving already with the purchase of a Q5 in Brussels... through the vote of confidence.
MPPs not being activated is 1, but even a bigger threat would be a RW of people who would like to destroy the hospital just for fun... I don't think it is a smart option but like I said before the story has 2 sides.

Then why are you asking funds, you just said that that is the money for the wood, one expense covert, wages, another one.
I can't help but feeling scammed by the government in this game. the government have tons of cash stashed away, and you can hardly compete with the state companies, even the training companies which are meant for training offer the job to level 2+ skilled workers, I can't see the point in that.
