Hello everyone, this is actually a sad days for me, for the eIrish people and many more ePlayers at our community, another active strong and good ePlayer leave us - Don Croata, a player that many knows here and adore he decide to leave us and i was wonder why... he accept to let me ask him few last questions before he totally leave us.

1. Hello to Don Croata, the former CP of eIreland, thank you so much for agree to make this interview with me, but before we start would you agree to introduce yourself first?

Hey there, thanks for asking and sorry it took this long to reply. I am Don Croata. Most of my eLife I was running eIreland and at some times was helping in eCroatia too. On alliances level I've been MC in EDEN and SG/SC of Aurora. Commander of CrOmega, Irish Army and Irish Citizens Army. Pretty much did all one person can do in this sort of a game.


2. Do you remember the first days you have started play at Erepublik, can you tell us shortly?

Yeah, I saw an ad or something on facebook, or TV, newspapers, not sure where. I made an account and there were plenty of people already playing in eCroatia. Made all my class to register and few of us kept playing for some time before they gave up & I stayed.


3. What you love in this game so much?

I love the fact the game's basics are to interact with other players in order to create something great. Depending on your organization and social skills you could build a fun enviroment for you and all your friends.


4. What is the biggest thing happend to you in this game?

I really can't remember of a single event that would be biggest thing, but one of those would probably be the first time Ireland has conquered London with me as a MoD in Bhane's term. Then maybe making Australia #4 power in the game in world power, making our today's allies from Poland to close their borders to avoid a war with Ireland when they have over 30k active people etc.


5. You have decide to leave the game what mark do you wish to leave?

I'm not sure really, I'd like people to know that Ireland would always do well during my terms. This last time we went from record low to the record high. I was a good friend.


6. What is the main reason that bring you to this decision that after 9 years which is a lot, to leave this game?

This game was made to be played as massive game. The entire game mechanics are made for big amounts of players. Once players started to leave this game became a 5 active player country simulation and that way you lose all the other good aspects of the game such as economy, politics, journalism etc. Even the military module is much more boring when you need to coordinated just 5 people instead of 500.


7. What do you think about the intervention of the admins in this game and it has any effect on your decision?

I don't see admins bringing back thousands that left. Maybe the new servers would make me return if they'd attract more people.


8. What do you think about the eCommunity today compared to the past "the old days"?

We used to have much more debates before, discussions, meta-game organization. Today it's basicly 20 accounts that are still clicking. Out of those 20 only 5 can actually make a difference in the battlefield and that sucks. How can one legend rank be more worth than one player?


9. Can you give us one moment that make you happy in this game and one time that make you very angry or sad?

Happy when people would accept to join some of my projects. Like when Fenoglioteam would join Ireland, or Mielga would join eAustralia.


10. There is any chance we will see you again here or you leaving us forever?

Well I'm not the strongest character out there so there's always a chance I'll come back. I doubt that's going to happen anytime soon. Summer is coming 😎


11. You are here in this game since 2012, how do you sum up your experience from the day you "eBorn" untill this right sad moment you leave us?

Process of growing up as a person and learning about the game and other people. This game affects your RL in many ways, I learned how to hold a civil discuss, be more direct and proabably more 'strict' in RL thanks to this game.


12. If you could change or add ANYTHING to this game tell us 1 things you were pick to change/add and why?

Add Fenoglioteam back, he doesn't deserve a ban after so many years of clicking on his own. He didn't buy the acc like many did, he didn't cheat his way to the top. He was 2-clicking while fighting for his community in a different sort of ways.


13. Before we end, do you have any last message to our readers your friends and the community that read this interview?

I spoke to most of my friends till now, so I'll only leave a message to the community - Stop taking this game so serious! It's a game and you're farming in it instead of having fun.
