Down to Business!
10 Downing Street
From the CP’s desk
Well, the work is all piled up ready for me and I’ve completed my first set of button pressing, putting up our attacks for the day.
First let me thank you all for entrusting me with the Country Presidency for this month. It was a nail-biter election and I can understand exactly how it felt for all concerned. The less said about the election the better, as we now have to get back to normal functioning.
Government roles would have been posted by now but Plato’s programmers had a glitch with the buttons and so I’ve had to ask for them to be reinstated.
The central Cabinet for now is:
CP: wingfield
vCP/PM: Sir Humphrey Appleby
Governor & acting Defence Minister: Huey George
MoFA: Gavin C. Mister
Home Affairs: Select28
The Home Affairs portfolio will cover Education, Health and Bread & Circuses, with assistance from junior members of the Ministry.
I’m awaiting a response from my nominee for Defence Minister. Other roles outside the official ones will be allocated from time to time. I expect that the Foreign Office will have a junior minister to assist, in addition to anyone helping with Home Affairs.
We will be continuing the existing government programs, while seeking the agreement of Congress to a review of the rewards and bounty system. There isn’t much to fix but I’d like to introduce some sort of clemency appeal process for eUK citizens who feel aggrieved by exclusions based on conduct. The general idea is that the case can be put to me and if the Cabinet agrees on my recommendation, we can modify or suspend any sanction.
The next matter for consideration is the economic welfare of players with factories in the eUK or in areas like Scotland where we have TW arrangements. I invite citizens to approach us with information about your holdings and where you feel assistance may be in order. Priority will go to newer players. We can look at the situation for more experienced players later. Citizens who operate in foreign countries will not be forgotten but those of us in that situation are generally better off in any event.
Special thanks to SHA and Huey for getting me set up to hit the ground running!

What?? I have no idea about HA. Maybe it's another steep learning curve!

Thanks again for your trust in me. Is let us work together.
We don’t currently use Scotland as a TW region, Taiwan own it so that we have max bonuses for companies there 🙂
There's a new player guide in the MoFA newspaper that sets out the economic and tw zones that have been set up basically forever of you'd like a refresher.
I'll try and dig out a link for you.
Not talking about it as TW. It was mentioned in relation to people with companies there.
Ah fair enough. I might have mis-read your message of "The next matter for consideration is the economic welfare of players with factories in the eUK or in areas like Scotland where we have TW arrangements" and assumed that the phrasing of [Areas like Scotland where we have TW arrangements] made it sound more like you thought that it was a TW region.
Perhaps changing the wording to highlight that your looking for people with companies in UK economic regions to get in touch would be clearer 🙂
Thanks to Madacaion for pointing out the flaw in one statement. It is people in the eUK or who have factories in those of our regions under foreign occupation for one reason or another that we are looking to assist. The prime example of this is Scotland. Needless to say, our own regions with resources not under occupation are in mind as well.
The reason Taiwan hold Scotland is so we can have factories there with a good bonus
Exactly
So why do you think I’d need assistance? My factories are in Scotland by choice
Good luck to the new government!
well done
Congrats!
Good Cabinet.
