[TLT] Resource War - Analyse!

Day 2,633, 03:30 Published in Ireland South Korea by Don Croata

Hello Ireland,
today I’m going to write about the outcome of Resource War, I’ll try to analyse the big countries and predict future wars. It will be fun to see what how correct my predcitions are going to be. Resource Wars are near its end right now and my conclusion is that this was a bad move by Admin. Not only he allowed most of the big countries to get the resources in their original or nearby regions, but he has also ruined some communities permanently. I expect from Plato another Resource Wars really soon because he’s going to realise how bad his decision to mix up resources this way was. He has just made strong countries stronger and weak countries weaker. Big countries such as USA won’t ever have to leave their borders anymore. Small countries such as Italy has become under risk of permanent occupation. Considering many big countries stopped playing for fun and friends and turned to bonuses and economy only (for some unknown reason) we can now expect diplomatic period and we can forget about massive Resistance wars in lots of countries to ruin big guy’s resources.

IRELAND

Regions: 6
Weapon bonus: 2/5
Food bonus: 4/5
Houses bonus: 0/5

We have secured ourselves best situation we could. When Resource war have been announced we’ve started to find a solutions straight away. Since the Norway plan falled apart thanks to automatic attack from Croatia we had to turn to alternative options - USA and UK. I’ve only had a short talk with PotUS Wild Owl and deal has been made. USA has proposed Ireland as Natural enemy and I’m thankful to them for this. They could pick the country they are going to cooperate with and of them all they’ve choose us. Kudos for America! This deal has secured us resources pretty fast. Combined with deal with UK we’ve gathered all resources we wanted in few days. We have even managed to sell a token (Possibly the only country which managed to do it?)

Considering our size and firepower we did great. We can thank to our long term diplomacy strenght and influence/size rate that we have decent bonuses, much better than most of the smaller countries.

Future:

Since Ireland (still) isn’t in a strong group of countries which could allow themselves to conquer other’s regions to gain more resources I believe we’re going to defend those we’ve secured right now. Our neighbours are Canada, USA and UK and at this moment we’re very friendly with all of them, which means we’re probably the most secure country in the eWorld. None of them is going to attack us and we won’t attack any of them.

USA

Regions: 51
Weapon bonus: 5/5
Food bonus: 5/5
Houses bonus: 5/5

United States are the total winner of this competition. They had starting advantage by having far more regions than any other country, but they’ve used their advantage best way they could. USA started lots of Training Wars, they’ve reacted on time, their strategy was to gather the rarest resources as soon as possible and they’ve did it perfectly. I’m glad Ireland helped them on their way since USA has always been friendly to us no matter of their size. Our border has always been secure.

Future:

USA holds power right now. They absolutely have no need to invade other countries and best they could do is to keep the good relations with both “sides” which is exactly they are doing. They already have MPP with countries from Asteria and AntiAsteria countries and none of them are going to attack them because they don’t want to lose such a strong country. USA is in a perfect diplomatic position, perfect economical position and perfect military condition. They can focus on helping their allies and it will be interesting to see how they are going to adapt on this new situation.

CROATIA

Regions: 7
Weapon bonus: 5/5
Food bonus: 2/5
Houses bonus: 0/5

Croatia has decided to go for weapon bonuses, as expected. They are fighting nation and they’ve decided to keep doing what they do best - fight. Croatia actually isn’t as strong as they used to be, there’s quite a lot stronger countries than them, but they still fight stronger than others. Military organisation and weird mentality is their biggest strenghts. Croatia still holds many territories outside of their original regions.

Future:

Croatia will definitly try to get more resources, they can have 4/5 food bonuses by occuping Slovenia and Bosnia&Herzegovina. Since they need only one Slovenian regions I expect some diplomatic way of getting that one. After getting the food resources they should focus on getting house resources too. The closest country which has many of them is Austria, currently occupied by Hungary, which could mean that Croatia vs. Hungary war over house resources could come fast. If Croats win this war too they would occupy three smaller countries and have great bonuses. Future is bright for Croats, they only need to see what needs to be done, which shouldn’t be hard considering the old tacticians over there. In future I predict them 13/15 resorces.

Can’t believe I had to put this flag in my article…

SERBIA

Regions: 8
Weapon bonus: 3/5
Food bonus: 2/5
Houses bonus: 3/5

Serbia done a great job in this competition too, not only they’ve been paying attention on what their neighbours are picking, they’ve also picked themselves rarest and most precious resources. Considering their size those resources are on the safest place. Serbia can change their attack directions dramatically right now.

Future:

The only country Serbia needs to invade and occupy is Italy and when you compare those two countries it shouldn’t be a hard task. Serbs will be able to focus on helping their allies a lot more than they’ve done so far and their alliance will profit big time from their change of politics. Italy has picked (intentionally or not) the resources Serbia needs. I’m pretty sure there was some deal between Serbia and Italy because the picked resources by Italy are exactly those Serbia needs. Serbs will easily occupy Italian regions they need, sign some sort of a NAP, even pay for those regions and they will be the only country except USA with 15/15 resources in the future. It will be interesting to see how this rivaliry is going to end, because as always, two countries with max. resources always end up on different sides.

CHILE

Regions: 5
Weapon bonus: 4/5
Food bonus: 1/5
Houses bonus: 0/5

Chile has picked weapon bonuses too, they’ve had a real war with Argentina in which they’ve secured themselves resources they’ve wanted and more important they’ve made sure Argentina doesn’t get the bonuses they want. Looks like those two rivals are continue to fight, if not now, then in future for sure. Chile had a hard situation because of this war, but considering their low amount of original regions

Future:

Chile will need to set their priorites and they will definitly have the hard job to gain more resources. Bolivia has picked a decent food resources (probably not coincidence) which can be great opportunity for Chile to get themselves 80% food bonuses, if they add a New Zealand’s, Peruvian and Austrialian regions they will be able to secure themselves 100% food bonuses and decent 60% houses bonus. This way they would end up with 5/5 weapon, 5/5 food and ⅗ house bonuses. It’s a hard job though, because they aren’t the only ones who wants those regions, there’s their rival - Argentina too. Not to mention Indonesia and South Africa which will keep an eye on Australian regions too. We can expect South American/Oceanian wars to continue.

ARGENTINA

Regions: 6
Weapon bonus: 3/5
Food bonus: 1/5
Houses bonus: 1/5

Argentina could have done much better on this competition, they could’ve at least secure themselves another resource in their original regions. They had a hard time being 404 country for last couple of weeks. Considering their size, Argentina is one of the biggest losers of this competition. I guess they double regret their decision to attack Paraguay last month.

Future:

Considering they have really low resources Argentina will have to turn to invading other countries. But, this won’t be easy for them. Argentina can try to go for Bolivia, which will be much harder for them than for Chile, so I suppose they will have to turn to some alternative option which could be South Africa, but the problem with SA is that they only have two resources Argentina needs, their other neighbour Nigeria has done perfect job securing their country by picking only the resources Argentina has won. It means Argentina is closed and to be honest, I wouldn’t be surprised if they somehow, for some reason turn against Brazil to secure at least 100% weapon bonuses. Hard time for the country which stabbed us in back, I can’t be happier for them.

Almost as bad as the Serbian one… Oh, hello dear neighbours!

UNITED KINGDOM:

Regions: 12
Weapon bonus: 5/5
Food bonus: 4/5
Houses bonus: 3/5

Admin’s competition has come perfectly to United Kingdom, they’ve reacted on time, offered us 50 000 to cover costs for MPP’s, had TW with France and they’ve done a perfect job securing themselves maximum resources they could in their original regions. I could never imagine UK as bonuses country, but it’s exactly what they are now. UK is blessed with 12 regions and they’ve used their advantage same was USA did - perfectly.

Future:

UK isn’t a strongest country, they aren’t able to take and hold someone’s regions if the occupied country isn’t much smaller than them. This doesn’t mean they don’t have a good potential, Norway is much smaller than UK and it won’t be hard for UK to keep one of Norwegian regions under occupation. This Norwegian region has a food bonus UK needs and I expect Brits to take it over. They could make some sort of a deal with Germark too and take the house region which is currently Danish. In every case, UK has a bright future bonuses like. Of course, this could be dangerous too, they aren’t big country and their former allies Poland could try to use UK now since they aren’t in a perfect position. UK will need to use their diplomacy now more than ever. I expect them to have 13/15 permanently with Norwegian region, maybe even 14/15 with a Danish one.

POLAND

Regions: 6
Weapon bonus: 4/5
Food bonus: 1/5
Houses bonus: 1/5

Poland has secured themselves best thing they could, stable weapon bonuses and lots of potential on their borders. They don’t have many original regions, but considering their firepower their bonuses can change too. They won’t change the way they had to play so far. Poland will need to make a lot of deals and keep many countries under occupation. Before all those, they will need to find allies which will be ready to defend their bonuses and this mission seems much harder than anything else for them.

Future:

Poland is bordering many small countries and this has always been their biggest advantage (except strenght). They are surrounded by so many countries that they have tons of ways to go for bonuses, but as I’ve already mentioned it will be hard for them to do it without strong alliance support which doesn’t seem to be likely in near future. They’ve became ‘persona non grata’ on both sides thanks to their foreign politics recently. At this moment I can’t imagine any smaller country makes deal with them, because there’s no need for this anymore. They are also surrounded by Hungary which means Poland’s politics is need to be changed dramatically if they want to get back the resources, reputation and economy they once had.

CHINA

Regions: 29
Weapon bonus: 2/5
Food bonus: 4/5
Houses bonus: 2/5

Chinese is another country which got burned by their neutrality and bad foreign politics, a country can’t stay neutral in this game and China has learned it hard way. They are even bigger losers of this competition than Argentina, after USA they are a country with most regions and they’ve secured only two more bonuses than Ireland in their original regions. China is a country from the past with no hopes in the future.

Future:

There’s no future for China. Another country which attacked Ireland got burned and raised a smile on my face.

Well this is all from me for today, I’ll write another article with more analyses in the coming days. Which countries would you like me to write about? What do you think about Resources war? What’s your opinion of my predictions? Who’s the biggest winner and who’s the biggest loser? I’m waiting for your feedback!

Don’t forget to sub my newspapers, I have to win this Media Mogul medal once again!

Signed,
Don Croata, your friend.
