You May Say I'm A Dreamer, If I'm The Only One, Why Do I Have To Join A Party?
Nikolasthe17th
I've tried to tackle a lot in my first week here. Currently my goals are, pushing for transparency in all levels of government, gaining a full understanding of the political landscape, jump into congress and do my very best to improve the country, and lastly I'd like to push for an option to run for congress outside of any party affiliation.
I posted a thread in the suggestions board and would appreciate it if you could support the idea.
I'm disappointed that I have to be part of a political party in order to simply run for congress, I truly think being able to run as an independent would take a huge chunk out of the people that run, and are able to win without offering anything to the voters. An independent candidate would HAVE to support their statements with facts, and would HAVE to be clear in their goals in order to get votes.
Leave comments here, if you'd like to support me, make sure more people read this article, and sign the thread, thank you.

Well, if you are thinking of running, id advise you to make your own party and have no one else join if you want to remain independent, but it would be a very bad move since most of the game is mainly politically controlled via congress's, country presidents and the like, I myself am the VP and CM of GSC/IFP. And even at this i have my work cut out for me, for it is very tough going and we have over 150 member's.
And here is the fixxed link for you as well 😁

There is an Independent Voices party in Ireland!
There is, Its still not truly independent, I'd like the opportunity to do this without ANY party, or without the gold to make a party just to run for congress.
Nik I advise that you find a party that will allow you to run under them. I'm sure Labour would be willing. You may then leave the party and you are an independent congressman. Just be sure to ask the Party President of the party for permission.
Independent Voices is as close to independent as you'll get in Ireland and in erepublik. You can always run under the Independent Voices party and then resign from the party afterwards
I'd say running with a party is dishonest, and wasting their space and time in backing the would be independent.
It's the game machanics bro ...
beeing in a eParty is not so much of a political point of view or a promotion to begin with, it's one more place for you to interact with other players !
kinda gotta deal with it if you wanna run for congress.
.
And make sure you're in one of the top 5 parties of the country by the time of the elections, because only the 5 parties with the most members can propose members for congress!

I understand how it works, I'm just complaining and offering an alternative.
People don't just get elected without a party... It is about getting to know like-minded people and asking for their support and their votes.
Well I'm getting to know like minded people, and I may be able to call on their support, or offer them mine without a party affiliation.
Join independant voices then. It was made for this purpose. You won't get to run for congress under them though as they're no longer top 5. People enjoy the social side of partys. Adds an extra aspect to the game that can be played on external sites and apps.
Parties always have free spaces to allow you run. Not dishonest if they allow you. I'm sure if you asked any top five party president they could offer you a slot. Were you in eIreland before this account?
No Snap.
