Thoughts on: Q5 Air Weapons - An expensive crutch? Q7 Air Weapons?

Day 4,756, 21:04 Published in USA USA by Marcelaxy

Hi,

with the release of Q5 air weapons, we finally get a feasible Air weapon added to the economy. Now with Black Friday, the production of it will be ramped up. How much does it really cost? Who should use it and when should you use it.
(Q5 Air Weapon = Q5AW)

1. The Value

A Q5AW gives you 100% more damage for 5 uses, meaning that 2 of them are the equivalent of an EB. An EB however will give you extra experience for level-ups, giving a citizen with (nearlky) maxed health pool (no events) an advantage of about 10%. Basically an EB with 10 hits really gives 11 hits.

Also Air weapons don't give you PP like EBs do.

To compare: the Hero Pack XL on Black Friday costs (the quivalent of) 999 Tokens (~7.5kk) and gives you 200.000 Energy - 220.000 with level-ups. That's 22000 hits.

To get the same extra damage, you need 4400 Q5 Air Weapons.

At a cost of 7.5kk, a Q5AW compared to the cheapest EB Pack of the year would be worth: 7500000cc / 4400 = 1708cc

That's the max. price you should be willing to pay. Even less considering Q5AW don't give PP like EBs do.

2. Cost vs. Value

The cheapest Q5AW are currently available for about 640cc, rendering their dmg/cc about 38% of that of EBs. (640 / 1700 = 0,3764)

They are currently cheaper when you produce them yourself. The cost of producing one calculates as followed

ARM price = Salary / (Productivity * 2,5)
Q5AW = 1 * ARM price + Salary / (5 * Productivity)

Q5AW = Salary / Productivity + Salary / (5 * Productivity)

In the best stable regions with Tycoon Pack, you'll have a Productivity of 213% or 2.13, for example in Maharashtra, India.

Q5AW = Salary / (2,5 * 2,13) + Salary / (5 * 2,13)
Q5AW = Salary * 0.28169

Currently, Salaries are at about 2100cc, meaning a Q5AW will cost 591,55cc in production. With a few extra holdings for hiring, you should be able to find enough workers at 2050cc, reducing the cost to 577.46cc.

At those prices, you reduce the cost per damage relative to the year's cheapest EB pack to 34% - 34.8% respectively by producing Q5AW for yourself.

3. Who should use it and when?

1. People Rich in CC. I need about 550 hits for a SH on average (on normal days). With 110 Q5AW, costing 63520cc in production, I can get another 33 Gold with my FFs. That's 1925cc per Gold. Doesn't sound like much but considering the Token price of 7500, that's 38.98 Gold per Euro. This way, Pack sellers who fight in the air, can make more Gold per Euro than with the 100€ Gold Pack on Black Fridays (18 Gold per Euro on max. Loyalty Rank).

2. When you fight in Real wars it's a good way to get extra damage quickly and cheaper than with EBs.

3. To defend YOUR SH against that guy.

4. You should never use it when Stingers are available. Especially not in excessive amounts during the Anniversary & Black Friday. Maybe when the amount is small and behind a paywall like the Power Spin.

4. Q7 Weapons

Assuming Q7 will ever be added to the air industry (unlike the house industry) and the Rm requirement, fire power and the uses scales like it does with food & ground weapons, to make it short & simple:

- The damage bonus per weapon will exactly quadruple

- The Work needed per weapon will exactly triple

- You'll get 33% more bang-for-the-buck with Q7AW
