The Party Presidents Respond to my Gibbering Rambling. (Part 1)

Day 908, 12:52 Published in Ireland Ireland by Nikolasthe17th

Recently I posed a list of questions to all the party presidents of eIreland, well of the parties with a congressional presence. This article is a simple rehash of their answers, I won't doctor it. Transparency demands that I reveal my membership in the Freedom Party. I've never enjoyed pandering to a political party, and will keep this neutral.

The first to respond to my queries was the Labour Party's orangejuicemmm.

What kind of people do you think you might support for congress, could you supply names?
“The people who I would hope to support in Congress are those who are active in Labours IRC/Forum and are contributing positively to Labours Improvement, that work for the betterment of the party. They would of course need to be trustworthy as they would be representing Labour in the Dail.”

Who do you imagine you'll put your support behind for the presidential race?
“I would be supporting someone from Labour only, We have a couple of people who have expressed interest in running and they would be my ideal choice, It could be someone controversial or someone neutral, it has yet to be decided.”

What do you want your party to do for the country as a whole?
“Well to be frank we want to get a Candidate into the Presidential Seat, This is our main goal as of now. If we can do this we can branch out and positively contribute to eIreland's future as we see fit, We also plan on getting active people into the Dail who will work towards a fairer and a more worker friendly environment.”
“We are Far Left Socialist party which means we strive to help the workers (The People), By getting people elected to congress we can vote for change that will benefit the people I.E. Taxes, The same applies to the presidency.”

What opposition would you have with enforcing certain standards in politicians, first and foremost total transparency?

“I have no opposition with it, actually I am for it. Recently, more and more candidates are being elected by parties and proving ... completely useless in the Dail, this I feel reflects on the party from which they were supported, If a Party President supports an inactive candidate and that candidate is elected it shows what their real objective is, not to better eIreland but to just gather numbers and make their party look [stronger]. That's why I have introduced an new scheme, that in order for new candidates to run they must have voted in a previous election and be active on IRC and the Forums. I feel this is necessary to separate those who want to further eIreland from those who are just after the Gold. Transparency can be a good thing, but only to a certain level. All inner party ideas shouldn't be shared with the general public though I do plan on releasing articles letting people know what Labour is up to. Which, hasn't been done by any other party thus far.”
Minor changes have been made to the last paragraph to make it easier to read, the message has not been altered.

To me it seems Orangejuicemmm has clear set goals, and supports something I've always thought was important, involved congress members, as well as political transparency. If I have one critique he seems unwilling to work with other parties to achieve combined goals, to be fair that is only based on his presidency response.
