The eOttoman Empire ?
Shotan
What is this state? A long state across Asia ? Yes, it's eTurkey.
Take a look in the map and you can see how long is this country now.
In addition to its national territory, it make a line by the western and south of eIran, then get up by ePakistan and at last conquers the north of eIndia and eChina, including some territories in Arabic Peninsula and Abkhazia.
But is eTurkey become a superpower like ePoland ? No, the country is fragile like what was the Ottoman Empire.
If you look the map again, you can look a weak region : southern eIran. The matter of eTurkey is its territory is not a compact block but a "spaghetti", so the loss of this part will cut it in two and you know if a country doesn't have a directe connection with its capital, it will not get the ressources but only the possibility to intervene against resistance movements or attacks. That's why eIran (and eSaoudite Arabia once) decides to attack this part but without success. And about eChina, eTurkey can thank the multiple invasions that divided the country.
Even if eTurkey is not an empire, it remains powerful but, like a cards castle, the loss of one important region can become the beginning of the end.

Nice article! Little relevance to us but still very informative.
in the past, a long time ago, eTurkey was a strong country i can remember several battles who were faster won by this country...

vote for the effort,
but your analysis is mostly likely wrong,
eTurkey has in its vicinity its allies eCroatia and eChile and therefore doesn't have to worry about the eIran.
eTurkey has a look of a long sausage, that's right. They may loose some regions in the future, but still they are quite safe as long eChina is under occupation.
That's why I said they profit the situation in eChina because of course alone, they could'nt conquer all a country. Every state tries to expand their power and an alliance against one country is a solution for this. Look China now, you can see eTurkey is a winner because eChile and eCroatia don't have a direct link between Chinese territories and their capital, so they win less ressources than eTurkey. Everything can happen like the liberation of eChina or a war between eTurkey, eChile and eCroatia.
And about eIran, that's true now but don't forget a big country can make strong opposition and a coalition against eTurkey is possible. A good strike and a big country can fall, the question is for when ? And if it is not eIran that conquers southern Iran, who will do it ?
Everything doesn't last forerver.

My dear, I have impression you don't know what you are talking about, but the resources are secondary reason. The primary reason is tactical position.

I never told the main objective was the ressources, it is just an analysis about the results. I don't speak about the true objectives of a country, it is juste an observation about the situation. In ressources, eTurkey has an advantage. About the tactical position, you can make your own analysis to understand why they conquer this country and what they win.
The primary target of this operation is to keep eChina surrounded and closed from all sides. Although eChina succeeded to escape from their tight grip and launch AS on eIreland.
