Alliances are splitting this country down the middle. I didn't think an alliance was supposed to do that. It seems that the forces of PEACE and FORTIS are pulling us hither and thither. It's driving me mad. I need resolution on the whole thing. Can someone please sort this out?

The Americans have just released an article which waxed lyrical about its "special" relationship with the uk, a relationship that will reward us with a subservient role in FORTIS. Plus there are those documents that seem to indicate that the Americans are not really that enamoured with us. I don't think I can deal with this country being a patsy to Spain and America. We are nobodies bitch.

I know very little about PEACE. Apparently it would be like getting into bed with our enemies- I wouldn't know much about that. I didn't really like the tone of an article posted yesterday that insisted the euk deserved PEACE and if we didn't we we're going to get it anyway. I don't like being threatened. We are nobodies cannon fodder.

I'd like to see the uk looking for other nations in the world that have no alliance. We should be getting out there and grouping together to show these two bullies that we can succeed without them.
Lets do it, lets be brave and start something new.

the usa is right not to trust the uk - we would all be better off if the usa 'merged' with the uk than it was left in the hands of the treacherous uk elite

We've only just had an election. Have you considered moving to America? Or running for Parliament over here? There has to be a better way than advocating an invasion.

At the moment FORTIS and PEACE are trying to grt us to join them, I personally do not likethe idea of being ran as a secondnrate colony by the yanks but if we join either alliance the other will try to invade us, We are a valuable contry not in resources but valuable players and people. The government smphould decide what to do, but they should have a serious think as this will nave huge implications either way...

Good article.
A "serious think" is exactly what is going on at present. All the evidence - when you set aside the inflated emotions - seems to point to neutrality as being the best policy in current circumstances. Let's not get sucked into any alliance until we can see the wood from the trees (I, for one, cannot see that at present).

I don't see the point in annoying anyone. Could someone tell me what countries (regardless of how small they are) are not associated with either alliance?
