Maverick - booster or killer of the game?

Again, a month passed and some monthly packs started to appear in the left column of erep. As usual, first the Blitzkrieg Pack [BP] (to be followed by the Power Pack [PP] a few days later, as usual). However, now in second time, again the Maverick Pack, the one that allows the buyer to change the division to fight in a battle.

In the last year, I was the regular buyer of the BP+PP combo. Buyer means, I paid 25 euros a month to have 2k energy buffer and +20w/6 mins energy load, I mean paid, not giving some cc to anyone to buy for me. It enabled me to reach somewhere between 13-20k prestige points (3-4 levels up a week), supposing there is at least a div4 epic every Tuesday or Wednesday. If no epic was available, the weekly result was around 8-10 prestige points. Both scenarios provided more or less the balance of energy bars, however the 'no epic' version is less entertaining. Much less.

When Plato manipulated the epic formulas, there was a month in the end of the last year when I was at the verge of giving up buying anything. Then the community solved this: a 'critical mass' of BP+PP buyers have enough influence that some bigger countries organized deliberated epics just for reaching the 5k or 10k prestige points.

And now it is over. It is the second successive weeks, there is no hope for an 'organized' div4 epic. There are epics when eGreece and eBulgaria disputes over some RW, that's OK, but the organized ones are finished in div4. Why? Because it is quite expensive AND because of the Maverick Pack (MP). There are organized epics in div1 and div2 - for BP+PP+MP buyers. However, without MP, it is more or less hopeless for higher divs.

That's a problem for me. I'm not ready to spend 40 euros a month (instead of the earlier 25) just to get the same service. So, while MPs are available in the game, I cease to buy anything, because it is not worth to me, I'm sorry.

I don't know it is a good business strategy or not - and it is not my real business, except it affects the lifetime of the erep. If cca. 60% of the regular BP+PP buyers are convinced to buy also the MP, while cca. 40% does the same as myself, the income is more or less the same. If 60+% buys the new combo, the income increases. We won't see at all.
