In this current climate of tension and paranoid fretting I think it is only fitting to remind people of manners.

If you’re polite and courteous on the whole you’ll get along with most people.

If on the odd occasion you come up against someone who is determined to cause you problems then all the friends you've made will come to your aid.

Friendship is something that is earned, not demanded.

Countries are just like people. If you’re polite, courteous and show respect towards others you'll get it back by the barrow full.

Manners maketh the country.
