Also, I realize that this game is called Erepublik and thus it would use the idea of the republic as its default style of government, but damn it, I wish we called the Canadian Congress, Parliament... and for that matter the president a Prime Minister. Rant over.

We do have a Prime Minister though as well. It's a funny little system, and definitely there are some players (more so in the past) who called the President the Prime Minister and so on.

The mechanics of the game don't allow for the PM to be elected though... aren't they appointed? I've been gone a long time, my memory is hazy.

by nomination, but now the person does have to accept the nomination to be put in the position

The minister of Defense can adjust the order of MPP deployment (which is a new thing since your time I'm assuming) but that's about it

I was party president a bunch of times, and a congressperson, oh and I think I was an ambassador to Ireland, maybe even the Czech Republic... Russia? Anyway, all silly titles. I do love me some politics though.

The Prime Minister is appointed in game. Yes. Though that isn't any different than real life really. We don't elect our Prime Ministers, they are whoever the party with the most seats in Parliament, appoints as their party leader.

I thought I'd mention, that just like back in the day, only the top 5 parties get to put up Congress candidates. So ou are going to have to change parties for your run.

You are right, the RL PM is the leader of the political party that garners the most seats in the Federal election... they do get to push people's buttons though. Thanks for the best wishes.
