[PotUS] Best Laid Plans

Day 3,260, 12:57 Published in USA USA by Orikfricai

The best-laid schemes o' mice an' men
Gang aft agley,
An' lea'e us nought but grief an' pain,
For promis'd joy!

'Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.

So, a couple things. Media this term blows. Nobody's fault but my own. Moving on.

Secretary of Media, Artela, citing real-life issues has departed.

In her place, I am appointing Jimmy Cincinnati in her stead.

Long may he reign. Here's to hoping he can whip this Press Corps into shape and make some media happen!

War News:

So, after some back and forth with Indonesia, which turned into a weird pseudo-training war, it looks like they've given up and we'll now be marching through the country taking what's rightfully ours.

Currently, Kalimantan (https://www.erepublik.com/en/military/battlefield-new/87621) is on the table.

After Indonesia, we can go anywhere. Leave some suggestions in the comments!

DoD Updates:

Congress initially re-added a Department of Defense line item at 25k a week to fund Arm America, then decided to, instead, add a line item specifically for Arm America on the off chance that there would be any chicanery happening to funnel those funds into the USAF. You can see those proceedings and a report of the efficacy of Arm America in Public Congress (http://eusaforums.com/forum/index.php/topic,41049.0.html).

DoCA Update:

Comet Academy has renounced his US citizenship and rejoined his people in South Korea. (https://www.erepublik.com/en/article/a-letter-from-esouth-korea-2617511/1/20)

I wish him well in his endeavors and thank him for his service to the country and people of eUS.

As Co-Secretary, Gabrielz_Horn will be taking over the full responsibilities of Citizen Affairs.

That's it, folks, not really a whole lot happening right now.

I'm working on some plans for the last two weeks of the term to ramp up activity and excitement.

My transition at my new job has slowed down considerably, giving me a lot more time again to focus on eRepublik.
