Here is an update what your representatives you voted into the Congress are doing for their 4 gold they get from their congress medal. Normally the congress has 40 members, but since we now have only 2 regions, we only have 18 congress members.
Remember, all citizens can join the congress debates*, but only congress members can vote.

Voting

Since 25th of January 8 proposals where voted on.
2 were the mandatory chairman and vice chairman elections (result: Daniel Parker and Kiecho)
2 were related to the CP elections, 1 about how to do them, 1 about who should be president. (Result: conditions accepted, winner Garmr)
3 proposals were about what the options should be when voting on a congress proposal. Initial proposal was by Artemivanov.
(result: 2x rejected, 1 x accepted; final result: congress members now can choose from: yes, no, and neutral/abstain, they all count for the quorum.)
1 proposal was about legislative cleaning of nearly all laws (lot of them still mentioned the United Netherlands union) by Broersje. (result: accepted)




Debating

Since last elections 17 debates were started, and a couple were still open.
Currently there are still 7 debates open. of which 2 are started before the elections

Top 3 open topics:
1. about having 1 party raised by Antiko (97 replies)
2. increasing the tax on congress medal-gold raised by yours truly (54 replies)
3. about the occupation of two of our regions raised by Broersje (43 replies)
