It is time for the Winter 2018 Olympics!

To commemorate this worldwide event, I offer the chance for a giveaway! There will be TWO classes for giveaways. You will be able to enter the giveaway up until 00:00 Day 3,748.

A) The Canadian Class

To enter this giveaway, all you have to do is:

1) Be a Canadian citizen (in-game)
2) Comment on this article

B) The International Class

To enter this giveaway, all you have to do is:

1) Not be a Canadian citizen (in-game)
2) Comment on this article



How It Works

Based on your first comment on this article and your citizenship, you will be given a number depending on the class you are in.

For example, you are the 5th comment on this article and are a Canadian citizen. Of the 4 comments before you, 3 were Canadian citizens, and 1 was foreign. You will be given the number 4, and placed in the Canadian class of prizes.

Example 2, you are the 6th comment on this article and are a foreign citizen. Of the 5 comments before you, 4 were Canadian citizens, and 1 was foreign. You will be given the number 2, and placed in the International class of prizes.

At the end of the Olympics, I will be using random.org to pick numbers for each class based on the number of entries and the number of gold medals Canada wins at the Olympics. If you're number is picked, you win a prize!

Prizes

Canadian Class

For every gold medal won by Canada at the Winter Olympics 2018, 1 winner will be chosen at random.

Each citizens name that is picked will win a 5 gold prize!

International Class

For every 3 gold medals won by Canada at the Winter Olympics 2018, 1 winner will be chosen at random. If the number of medals won is not easily divisible by 3, the number of prizes given will be rounded down.

For example, if 11 gold medals are won, the total number of prizes drawn will be 3, not 4.

Each citizens name that is picked will win a 5 gold prize!

BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE

Additionally, beginning once the total number of entries in a category hits 15 people, an addition prize of 5 gold will be drawn!

For example, Canadian Class has 15 people, and Canada won 11 medals, then there will be 12 successful winners from this class. If it has 20 people, then there will be 13 successful winners, and so on.
