What the very good party HOPE has done for Belgium

Day 4,812, 12:16 Published in Belgium Belgium by MCKitkat

Greetings Belgium,

A quick one this will be, considering that there is a pretty long wall of text of baseless accusations from HOPE. I was very much intrigued by the call to action to vote HOPE because that would break the deadlock and make everything better. So I decided to take a look at the campaign promises of our dear CP, now, exactly 17 days in office and see what he has achieved so far. Shout-Out to Jan Böhmermann for giving me an inspiration with the title.

I am basing my information on both of these articles.

The economic promises

Let us begin by a very spicy subject, the economy.

Considering that prices on the market have remained the same since taking office (except for sto kila bazuki's attempt to drive down prices in the housing market with success of his own volition), the government has not done anything at all to figure this out. We debate about taxes, that is correct, but the conclusion was a mess of things.

There is also no system in place where young up and coming players can ask for assistance, which is entirely possible without any involvement from Congress before people come in blaming the deadlock for all this inaction.

A forum to allow for business proposals, wow. It's nowhere to be seen at all and doesn't even require Congress to achieve. That's spectacular. Regarding the food program, oh it certainly did start, but we have heard nothing from it since then and I've received reports from players that haven't received food at all. To note that this program is currently financed by private donations only, so no Congress involvement at all!!

Well considering our income has absolutely tanked DESPITE a bunch of new players arriving, I'm not sure that this growth plan is working out very well. In terms of new players support, we have seen a number of articles from our MoE. OH WAIT, there are only 2 articles which are mostly just copy-pasting older articles over. Good job! Probably Congress fault for deadlocking the orgs or something.

Politics and Society

Onwards to the next big topic, politics and society, oh boy, I'm looking forward at the promises HOPE has done here and acted upon!

A brand new forum to allow for communication! Wow, I wonder what the link to that forum is, oh wait there is none. It was kinda decided to use Discord, yet HOPE has missed almost entirely from that platform and the debate sections as my previous article has shown. Also the communication with Congressmembers, well also missing entirely. But I guess its just our fault for stealing their ability to talk, poor HOPE is the new protagonist of Ariel, the Mermaid. My previous article has clearly shown that most discussion has been done by members of ATO, we have done what HOPE promised to do, yet HOPE has failed to uphold its promise there.

A Constitution, oh wow. Where is that amazing proposal of a constitution. Ah, yet again, nowhere to be found. Not even attempts at suggesting what would be important. Nothing at all. They couldn't even participate in electing a Speaker of the House, great job HOPE!

Public consultations and transparency! Sure, we have seen SOOOOO much public consultations and SOOO much information regarding basic things like budget, laws, proposals. We're almost drowning in all that nothingness. Again, both don't require Congress to get done. Just your own ability.

So here we are, HOPE has basically achieved one campaign promise, to continue the BHP, which is literally the bare minimum until they deadlocked themselves by being untransparent in our requests to look at the budget. Almost all of these promises can be achieved without ANY involvement from Congress, or need to be proposed by HOPE first. Nothing of that sort has been achieved. So yes, this is what happens when you vote for HOPE, a WHOLE BUNCH OF NOTHING. Empty Promises and blaming others for their own incompetence!

BONUS ROUND

Oh yeah, we are not done yet, for we have a whole other HOPE CP term to look at and her campaign promises!

So here is a small overview of everything she promised in line with what current great leader proposed to do.

Indeed let us discuss things, oh wait, you refuse and reject discussing anything with us and don't really participate in debates at all. Well, at least you can do your new government programs *checks notes* OH you only really did the BHP which is basically the bare minimum of continuing the BHA from ATO. Congratz, you did NOTHING!

Oh yes, I absolutely fully agree with more communication. Not only has Genesis term been the most silent I've ever seen with no communication whatsoever after some very fancy attempts at first. They didn't keep up at all. Maybe 2-3 articles published in the beginning and then they stopped caring entirely. I believe we deserve better don't we Belgium?

YES, EXACTLY. WHY IS THERE NO COMMUNICATION. HOPE is absolutely right on this point. I agree with HOPE that HOPE needs to communicate much more with the citizens. ATO is out here doing all the talking for the citizens and yet HOPE is just dropping the ball, so good on HOPE to remind us all how it should be done!

So yet again, HOPE promises A LOT and FAILS TO DELIVER ANYTHING AT ALL! But don't worry, somehow this is all once again ATO's fault. We're probably still controlling the government and are about to face-swap the president with our own faces or some other Q-type stupidity.

Be smarter than that Belgian citizens and realize when and who is playing you for damn fools. Either the guys talking and pushing for actual answers and discussion or those that keep up being Trump and shouting like lunatics at everything their heads don't comprehend.

Much much love to everybody. Stay safe!
