Wargaming

Wargaming has been a hobby of mine since 1975 or so. I have owned and played hundreds of wargames. I have sold as many as I have owned and still have a decent sized collection. I have been a developer, designer, and play tester of multiple games and game systems. Historical and what if simulations keep my mind active as I have to use the techniques, I learned in chess to try to keep up with my opponents. Having never served in a ground force I have not learned tactical or strategic theories that way. I have learned of those things through my wargaming hobby.
I continue to support the hobby by actively testing games within several different game systems. It is a hobby that allows me to put myself in the place of the leaders that made the decisions to see if I can get better results. It continues to fascinate me as a hobby, but also helps me to appreciate the hand of God in the way some things have happened historically. I do not believe He necessarily proactively made choices for the commanders in the field, but I believe His spirit influenced some of the decisions that were made. It lets me see where prophecy has been fulfilled, is being fulfilled, and lets me appreciate just how much He does care for us. Even if we don’t always understand the why, we can always understand that He is working all things for our good. In the end, we will all receive the blessings. As always thanks for reading.
